How was your day?

Some bad things happened today. I now know the power of adequate sleep. I haven't been getting in enough sleep, and this lack of sleep has been taking a toll on me. I bumped my car into something as I was backing up since I was getting so excited to drive to this one hip-hop song. Just a bit ago, I hit my wheel onto the curb while trying to do a U-turn, and I'm worried my suspension might be out of alignment or something of that sort. I'll drive the car around during the daytime to make sure. I still have to get my bumper fixed. It's fine for the most part with the exception of a minor scratch and a broken bracket. I took it in to the mechanic, and he said the new bracket would need to be ordered. I'm hoping this gets done soon. At least this means I've learned my lesson; I should be more cautious and get in more sleep to get things right.

 

I really need a job. I can't be relying on my mom for help or on financial aid. I applied to a bookstore, but unfortunately, I think I got rejected. I got a call; the guy said they didn't have any hours available for me. That kind of hurts. I just got an email from them saying they wanted someone more qualified, too. I want to look at this positively; I could think of it as a way for me to have time for other things. I can stay more focused on schoolwork, gym, and social life.

Got 8.5 hours of pay to sit in a meeting room and watch a slideshow and videos and eat pizza and drink soft drinks all day. And then the drive home took over an hour because of heavy traffic so I got paid an extra half an hour so 9 hours total worth of pay to do literally nothing all day. And I'm not going to go in tomorrow so let the weekend begin! Overall it was a good day

My work day was crazy. I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. Normal sh*t I can't talk about in a public forum.

 

But...I do have a story I'm kind of proud of.

 

Thanks to my wife having to be somewhere tomorrow morning, we had to do all of our errands tonight after work. You know - pet supply story, super market, bulk store...we do the same run every two weeks. Anyway, I hate when we have to do the run on a Friday evening because of the traffic. The stretch of roads I have to take are the same ones people commuting between Philadelphia and Jersey, and Philadelphia and Delaware take...not to mention it is also the way to and from the airport.

 

So I expect to hit the normal gridlock area that always has commuter traffic on a Friday evening. Much to my surprise the traffic was moving. Now before I continue let me describe the intersection. Traveling north, south, east, west all = 3 lanes; 1 left only(with arrow on stop light) and the other two are to go straight with the far right lane having a yield into 90 degree traffic via island separator turn off and yield into lane.

 

Holy sh*t! The traffic light was out and blinking red for everyone. You have cars that have to make left hand turns(from all directions) cutting across 2 lanes of oncoming traffic not to mention the standard north, south, east, west travel.

 

No cops, no nothing....just people in cars understanding that everyone has to make it through somehow. Lots of smiles with looks of "oh sh*t this is crazy funny".

 

We proved that we could make traffic flow better then the engineers who designed the intersection. Oh and this is a red light camera intersection. Bet ya that we all get $100 red-light tickets in the mail...this is Philadelphia after all.

It was a decent enough day for a Monday. My girlfriend went along with me for the ride so the drive was at least pleasant in conversation. Had to unload to get ready to go back tomorrow and also found out I'm going back Wednesday. Fun fun. Drive is about two and a half hours so I guess it isn't too bad.

Watched the Basketball Diaries/Streets of NY today (why the various titles wtf) in class today. It kinda got a little awkward with the scenes, featuring Di Caprio jerking off, the sex scene with that hottie and the one where he took his friend with cancer to that stripper. Not because of the actual content, but the fact how we boys made the Beavis and Butthead like laugh and for the fact I got the sickest hard-on, while sitting next to some of the girls that doesn't seem to have sexual matured yet. I was also wondering what went through my teacher's mind.

I'm trying to lose 20 lbs in four weeks, the only thing I ate all day was a protein bar.

 

I've done lot of cardio all day, but I still don't think I'm gonna lose 20 lbs in four weeks despite starving and exhausting myself.

 

But on the bright side I found a new favorite headshop. This one has a wider variety of things including alternative herbs, posters, dry herb vapes and more. To top that that off its run by hippie-esque people I think. One of them had DMT Tattoo I think.
