How was your day?

Today has been a complete waste for me.

I had loads of things that I needed to take care of today, though I ended up waking up at 1pm with a terrible hang-over, and probably still a little drunk from yesterday.

Last night I did have an interesting chat on Middle-Eastern politics with a student in Middle-Eastern studies in a club's smoking area, and I got her number, so I that's a plus.

 

Today I've been procrastinating on YouTube, playing the first Kane and Lynch game, and now I'm on here, ostensibly to wait out the hang-over which subsided hours ago.

It is now approaching 11pm, and I'm wondering whether I should just accept today as a complete write-off.

Well my dad told me he was going to trade in his van today. Which turned out to be a lie. He actually went to the grocery store and bought $40 worth of liquor and drank himself into a coma. Made a mess in the kitchen. Broke a door off of a cupboard and passed out on the kitchen floor. FML

Today was my first day of high school. Pretty short. Only meet the teacher (Who seemed alright), and picked up the school books.

I went to my college classes. Today was the first day of the semester. I'm looking forward to doing well this time around, not that I did that horribly before. It's just that I'm at a community college and I plan on transferring to a four-year university; some schools expect quite a bit from applicants. I also have this bad habit of being distracted by girls, which makes me feel lame when I find myself eyeing aesthetically attractive girls. Anyone else do this, too, by the way? I remember I didn't do it as much when I was in, say, elementary school, and I already had crushes then. Come to think of it, I've been having crushes on girls since I was really little. I just wish I could stay focused on myself.

Today was sh*t, can't wait til school starts so I don't have to be stuck at home with my boring as f*ck family. I'm still boggled by how boring my family has gotten in the past few months. All everyone does is go to work or sit on the f*cking couch watching television. God I hope my life never becomes that pathetic when I'm older.

Well for me today just started. I have to leave for school in 20 minutes. I can tell you how today is gonna go though, I'll probably just end up getting pissed off again. I'm just glad I can leave campus at lunch and escape everyone (even though I have to come back for class after). If I had to stay on campus at lunch I would literally lose my mind.

But it was kind of a weird, depressing day at school, cause last night some girl from my school got hit and killed by a car. Apparently she was one of those really popular girls that everyone loves. The morning announcements were pretty sad. The principal was on the verge of tears announcing her death, and then everyone around school was crying all day. They had councilors all round campus for students to talk to. I didn't know her, but she was in the same grade as me, a senior. It really makes you think about how death is just to easy. She was just jogging around her neighborhood like anyone, and then the next thing you know...she gets hit by a car and dies. Life aint fair

Certainly wasn't a good day, but I won't go into details.

 

Spending time with my dog always makes me feel better, though. At night, when he's tired, he whines at the door to my bedroom until I let him in then he gets up and goes to sleep. Tonight, I get up to lay on the bed with him, and he begins to scratch an itch behind his ear with one of his back paws while growling and moaning at said paw. When he finishes, he falls asleep with his thigh in his mouth.

 

He's one special doggy.

Spoke with Sears today and the manager I interviewed with said the regional manager go called out of town on business and that's why he hasn't called me back yet. So that's good news and means today was an ok day.

Feeling pretty good today. I've had a cold since last Thursday and today was the first day that I could taste food. I don't usually get summer colds but this year has been unusual.

Got called back from Sears! I'm starting on September 8th with a starting rate of $16.66/hr before bonuses. If I work 50 hours per week it will be about $640 just from base wages alone. Can't wait!

Uneventful for the 50th time. I'm just stuck here on the computer watching The Wolverine for the second time. My sister just went to work, my mom is on her tablet and my dad is either on his computer or his tablet. Nothing new to see here. Its days like this that make me glad this summer ends Monday. It was abysmal, full of drama, full of boredom and full of disappointments.
