Crap. Had to bin my SNES and games because of black mold and a dust mite I saw crawling on the Starwing cartridge, even though I kept them stored in a (useless going to throw out) storage draw. Only found that out because I couldn't play a game I bought for my Dreamcast yesterday because 'modern' tvs, and I thought I'd try to use my SNES to tune my tv in case the aerial for my Dreamcast was faulty because I knew the SNES worked as I'd used it on the same tv a few years ago to play some Mario.

Today's been reflective. I've been having fun on my own and don't want to deal with any drama.

Last Saturday, I moved on from the 'old friend' situation. After three weeks there was no real effort to reconnect on their part. There's no harm in taking it slow, which I did, but I felt that they weren't willing to talk and were just looking for attention. My instincts told me to hold back, set a healthy boundary, and get on with life. It wasn't my place to catch up because they'd reached out first.

The timing felt odd too because they'd reached out two weeks prior to having an operation. There's nothing wrong with turning your life around but I sensed a lot of insecurity in them. They overshared details of their life, bragged about how 'awesome' the skinny version of themselves would be, and took pride in not wanting to grow up. There's nothing wrong with feeling young either but I realised that I was more emotionally grounded than them. Their post op updates turned into a pity party all last week. They fished for sympathy and were frustrated with the recovery time.

I don't know why they bothered to reach out. Maybe they really wanted to show off? At the end of the day I grew tired of the constant attention seeking and feeling left out in the cold again. They hadn't changed since the last time. They had time to post about crying over a tv character's death (healthy), and still dwell on it twelve years later (not healthy.) Yet, they had no time to DM me a simple how are you? If they had something important to say then they'd have said it on day one. (Instead of dragging out the silence for weeks on end.)

The situation was a bit shady. I'm glad that I've locked that door to my past though. :)

Played the sh*t out of Bioshock and totally love this game so far. Got two more Bioshock games to play after as well.

Well...that certainly trumps my bitching about the sh*t that happens during my work day.

I hope things turn around for you Cameron.  They generally do for everyone.  Sometimes you just got to (painfully) wait it out.

Tired, but good tired. (And a little sunburnt.)

I spent a couple of days away. Took some pictures on the beach and visited a castle made famous by William Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Great.

I've been uploading my first videos to youtube and I can't believe took me a lot of years to make finally something and I know the views are slowly but I appreciate the small amount.

Kinda stressful.

Tired as f*ck.

But I have this depressing feeling like I'm making enemies with people, every time there's a negative interaction. Can't even describe or explain it, nor could I get it out of my mind.

I have that feeling over the slightest little thing, it sucks. I've actually only recently started to learn how to say 'No' to people. Sure it's not always nice, but I used to say yes to everything and it got on my nerves being taken advantage of (I felt like).

Their poor reaction says more about them than it does about you. The only thing that you can control comes from within. Once you know what you want and don't want to deal with in life then it gets easier.

Today's been good, I guess. Been promoting my photography online. Although, I'm still in post holiday mode and forgetting what day it is lol.

I  might have to claim karma on this one...

I had a (expensive enough) ladder delivered yesterday.  I was a bit surprised because I thought the transaction failed due to a glitch when ordering.   There are no records of the purchase and the attached credit card has no activites...yet I have a new ladder.

Here comes the karma part.

I just did a load of bandanas in the washer.  Yup, just bandanas...think Marge Simpson in that episode when the bikers stay with the Simpsons.

My wife asked me to toss in a small load of hers when I was done.

Bam!  My 800 year old washing machine just died.  So much for the free ladder when I just had to shell out fancy new washing machine money.

Probably one of the most eventful days (and nights) I've had in quite awhile.

I borrowed my dad's pickup, and took one of my buddies with me to a salvage yard for parts. Later, the movies, then late at night, found a local convenience store and bought two giant buckets of chicken.

Ahhh, can't beat Lemon Pepper wings.

To top it off, went "night cruising" down a few windy roads back home.

I'm really jealous of people that can night cruise. It's practically the only reason I want a car one day. I just want to take long drives at night to clear my head. I basically watch YouTube videos like these to fill the void.

There's just something about it.

Probably the most active days of the year and I can’t do all the things with 24 hours either… I need a good long rest, damn it.

Nearly 15 years of driving and I got my first Notice of Intended Prosecution today- 82 in a 70.

Thankfully I'm eligible for the Speed Awareness Course, but can't say I'm not annoyed that my years of good fortune appear to be over.

Haha over here in Whitter BLVD its a tradition to go out for a cruise on sunday nights while enjoying some low and slow jams. Nothing like it. One of the few things that really clears my mind and traditions into my happy place other than being with my family and relatives. I'll hit the Boulevard one of these days when I get the chance and take the fam bam for a spin. Been some heavy months at work and we've still been trying to take a trip to Las Vegas in between the weeks. Didn't really work out last month either. Meh....mabye this upcoming month or so

I threw a washing machine on my wife.  True story.  It was funny and the sun was just so perfect that I wish I had gotten a picture.

Long story short:

I had a new washing machine delivered.  The delivery guys wo5nt take it through my 'side hole' to the basement for various reasons and my house is too old an oddly shaped to take it through the house to the basement.  Sooooo...I had them drop it for my wife and I to take through the hole.

Part of my delivery package was removal of my old washing machine.   Same 'side hole' story so I had to man it out of the side hole with the help of my wife.  The last push is what did it.  She ended up on her butt with a 40 year old washing machine on top of her.  She had a look...then she giggled.

Oh and the new washer is kick ass!  Careful...one of these days you will age to the point where a new washing machine is exciting.

Double posting because the day goes on.

Forgot today is the neighborhood to neighborhood festival.  The main stage is literature a block from my house.

We get big(ish) names that had their day.  This year Salt n Peppa are the headline.  We've had Kool n the Gang in the past.  It's crazy... shuts down the trolley and parking is crazy.

Heh, I'm still considered "young" and I get excited about the most mundane things like collect GTA artworks or organize YouTube playlists.

It's the little things that get me happy these days as well. I feel like the older you get, the less you treat yourself. At least in my experience. You're so worried about other things, you have to try to remember to enjoy life once in a while.

Damn that's sounds like a lot of fun. If you got proper music at any festivals count me the f*ck in. I could watch Kool n' Gang perform aaaaaallllll day long with a beer in my hand getting my boogie down  Seen them live back in 2011 in LV. Sounds like your area knows how to get it's boogie real down @trip lol.

OT: So early morning today I noticed my neighbor was working on his truck which I thought I could give him a helping hand with anything he needed since I still had a half hour before I left for work. I approached him and said you need any help big homie? It's when he stood up and the dude had the whole f*cking Michale Myers look on. Coveralls, Mask, boots...I could say he literally scared my ass into next Wensday and bursted out laughing. He's a huge Halloween fan and when September, October roll around this isn't the house you would want to be in, especially when Halloween is around the corner lmao. Part of the reason I consider him a good friend is because we're both huge 80's horror fans especially with the Halloween and Friday the 13th series.

That and we both have a thing for old school Chevy Trucks. The dude always just puts a smile on our faces. The many times we have a normal barbeque day or some other occasions we don't hesitate to invite them in for a beer. We've actually already planned on what to do with this years trick or treaters   We both really do pull an authentic Michael. Doesn't get much fun than this. October really needs to get here quickly :pirate:

Went through some f*cked up sh*t and lost a great majority of things in my living room. It was depressing as hell. A friend of mine in another state surprised me with a Portia Porcupine doll. I am extremely happy to have her again.

Finally had a day where I didn't check Facebook out of habit or peek at Messenger on my phone. Even though I know I had no notifications, I'd punish myself by scrolling through it pretty much every day. Just glad to be rid of it and focus on myself instead. It's all cherry picked highlights anyways that people pick from their life.
