Not too bad. It’s starting to get a little hot here which isn’t preferable but I’ve been exposing myself to the heat a little more to try and get over it.

I’ve been dating a lot of different girls lately and today I went on a first date with someone that I think is finally the one. I owe it to myself to find the right one coming off of years of domestic violence and nonsense.

Well if worst comes to worst you can always teach her a lesson.

Spoiler

With a whip of course.

Some familiar faces have disappeared from my workplace overtime. It's a very different environment now. 2 guys are retiring, another long-time member of the team who's been under our same payroll is leaving and going out on his own, with his own truck rather and a company one. And...a mildly sketchy guy i've been working with loading trailers and various shop jobs, was under close examination and eventually fired for being intoxicated on the job.

Aside from that, I took a nice long night drive on the highway for awhile, with "Money For Nothing" playing on the radio. T'was a real good time.

Spent day at the forest. You know, hunting here awards you with twice more meat.

They fired THC? Bastards.

Well we all knew he had it coming. Posting every time on forums while being intoxicated to the point of falling into a coma.

Not the best really. I do a fair bit of mountain biking, and I have just started taking my 13 year old son out with me. On only his second trip out with me and some friends on his new bike, doing some easy trails to ease him into it, my son has up-ended himself over the bars and broke his collarbone. So a day spent in the A & E department at the hospital.

Yeah seeing old friend after years is great feeling.

My day went great. Went on a small cruise aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia, went to the buffet and got myself a mountain of mashed potatoes and dug in. Talked to a friend for a bit and now we're making plans for July 4th. =]

Got drenched on the way home, but at the same time I felt sort of free in the rain. It's hard to explain.

Sometimes you feel like you're in a movie scene when it's raining and you're sat on the bus.

It’s been one of those sh*tty days where nothing goes according to plan—a dreadful morning commute in the rain, a dreadful afternoon spent arguing with incompetent co-workers and, later on, a dreadful evening preparing for some upcoming big work-related event. The agonizing headache that won’t go away hasn’t helped much either.

Your noisy neighbour is obviously a vulnerable individual and it is your civic duty to put up with his anti-social behaviour in a community spirit of tolerance for diversity. After all, he is only displaying the rich diversity of human behaviour. You should seriously consider organising a communiy festival in celebration of noisy neighbours, encouraging everyone to turn up their stereos, keep noisy barking dogs, and generally be a nuisance to the community. Only then will you be displaying a proper respect for Diversity and Vulnerability.

He doesn't need a festival. The fame of being shamed in newspapers for violent outbursts, (fracturing a barmaid's hand with a stool, cutting a guy's face with a beer glass, throwing a bottle through the window panel of the bar door while people inside tried to keep him out, cutting a bar maid's neck, screaming at a courtroom judge/being restrained on the way to his cell), has already gone to his head.

Sounds like a good guy, likely had a tough childhood. Give him a chance. Might become your best friend one day.

It's funny that you said give him 'a chance.' That's exactly what he screamed at the judge. The judge branded him a thug despite years of rehabilitation. He was put under partial house arrest but that hasn't stopped him making noise during and afterwards. He's bragged about dodging jail time. He hates living here. He's smashed windows and laughed when my neighbour nearly burned their house down. It's not clever.

If you're determined enough to change then you set goals. Even small ones. I'm not saying it's easy but he's not walking the talk. I'd take a Judge's word over his any day. When it seemed like one pattern of behavior stopped it was replaced with another. Loud music is one thing but illegally storing a motorbike indoors (fire hazard) and revving the engine after 11 pm is another.

He's got a couple of people around him as support but they encourage the antisocial behavior. One of my neighbours hangs out with him even though he's at their beck and call after 11 pm at night. He's an older guy who is practically crippled now. I struggle to walk too and blame it on prolonged stress from loud music/sleep deprivation. Literally cannot walk anywhere after ten or fifteen minutes without being in severe pain. Had to cancel plans and have no control of my time because of his noise. It's honestly been that bad. Sometimes I'd go to bed and still hear music playing in the morning. Then there'd be more outbursts/loud music through the next day and night.

There's a lot to the situation. The local government/environmental health and the police haven't made it easy for me either. (But that's a whole different chapter.)

A lot can happen in three years. A person's life can change completely in five years. I've done a lot of good things despite the bad around me. I've been learning a new language, expanding my skills. But... I still hear him blast the same half a dozen songs (up to three times a night), argue and slam doors all year round etc. What's the statute of limitations?

Casually nearly sh*tting myself whilst playing Outlast.

Pros: I didn't sh*t my pants, yet.

Cons: I'm probably going to need some soon.

In the Good Old Days they would have hanged him and that would have been the end of it. His mother would have shed a tear for him, then poured herself another teacup of gin and forgotten all about it.

Nowadays, you and your neighbours can enjoy the full panoply of his antics - and you get to pay for all his support and  rehabilitation.

Tip: Don't wear pants playing Outlast. Just put down some plastic ''cut open a garbage bag for example and sit on that''. Make it easyer to clean sh*t afterwards.

My day was pretty boring, but at least I did smell great.

So my boy is having an operation tomorrow to put a steel plate and pins into his broken collarbone. Should be pretty straight forward but I can’t help feeling anxious about it. I hate hospitals and surgery. 😬

That's a bit extreme. Effective though. :D The best 'punishment', as hard as it's been, is ignoring him. I mean, he doesn't like to live here. Evicting him for antisocial behavior would be giving him what he wants.

I've had another quiet day again. Been watching old tv shows that I haven't seen in years and documentaries on esoteric topics lately. Really getting back to my roots. I'm kinda taking things a day at a time. It's a weird feeling to enjoy myself without it being bookended with drama.

I reunited with all my high-school buddies at a massive tailgate party. Someplace far out in the bush where it's vaguely unlikely you'd be caught with booze in your vehicle.

Before people started showing up, I took my trusty Subaru up early to the lot we occupied to attempt drifting around the dirt ring where we held a bonfire.

For the past week or so, it's been consistent rainfall and thunderstorms, around 1:00am I slept in my vehicle under heavy rain. Despite the mildly disappointing weather patterns, it was a grand time, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good to have a life of peace and quiet, isn't it? Too extreme I agree. I wonder though whether he might feel more at home (?) being homeless, hanging around with all the other Mongs on the street, begging, drinking, scoring tenner bags and spending short periods in prison.

Whatever, good to hear that your homelife is now more your own, even if it is now less dramatic.

sh*t day. Nearly finished my two hours at my cleaning job and got a call from my line manager asking if I could wait for my cleaning stuff delivery (which was 3 weeks late because he'd sent my original order to the wrong railway station). It arrived but it was all loose so I spent the next half hour dragging it back to the office I clean on a tiny trolley I normally use to remove lots of rubbish bags at once. It took me half an hour because coincidentally the lift broke so I had to use a ramp, which at one point was blocked by some old people. Coincidentally the lift was working again after I'd finished, which pissed me off because I was raining sweat.

A heatwave is causing temperatures to range from 35 to 44°C (100°F, cmon USA why don't you switch to IS units) and obviously I don't have any way to cool my house and it's 30 degrees inside. Since the max temperatures don't use to get further up to 30 outside it's not necessary, at least at night I let air run to cool house for next day, however with the heatwave even at night it still feels hot. I've never seen something like this and the worst is I hate hot weather.
