been feelin pretty sh*tty from catching a flu bug and also some anxiety sh*t, dragged myself out and got a quick 14 miles in. not the greatest achievement but it made me feel better so i guess the gist is mental/physical health is important so do sh*t that makes you feel good and look after yourself

 

 

 

 

i also made a firefox (well palemoon) layout because im totally neurotic about layouts

Today it is a rainy ass cold mess outside, so my wife is dominating the living room with her LTTP addiction of The Walking Dead.

 

I just finished a pot of coffee and went to pour myself a big glass of orange juice.

 

 

High pulp?!  How the f*ck did that happen?  I'm not about to try and drink a high pulp OJ...gross.

C'mon man, orange juice with high pulp is the best way to drink orange juice! It's so bland without it!

 

 

My friend and I made a lot of noise (what we like to call "music") in my parents' basement for the last time in what will be a quite a while. May even be the last time ever. I'm moving across the country in a week so the days of shaking the house with hard-hitting drums and too much bass and vibrating my parents' skulls with overdriven guitars have come to a close. Not to mention the mess of cables and equipment I've amassed over the years in an attempt turn the basement into a recording studio. Thanks for putting up with us for nearly ten years!

I spent the last 2 days organizing bookmarks, cataloging passwords and editing IMDb lists. My life is so exciting isn't?

My day was meh. I was productive. I got my room cleaned a bunch of photographs edited (Just some random shots I took, i'm a professional landscape photographer), fixed my laptop, got my games library (PS4) transferred over to an external hard drive but I've felt physically terrible all day because of my condition (Spina Bifida) but the pain in my back has subsided for now since I've taken 3 of my painkillers & now i'm here browsing the forums & listening to music (band called Ministry.)

I'm ok with my texture issues.  I can enjoy a thick juice like mango...but that is all one consistency.  Juice should not require you to floss.

Today has been a great day. Got in 111 minutes of exercise on the bike. Saw the reds win 5-0, and today is my 8 year anniversary of joining GTAForums! Man what an exciting time that was, when those domain names were leaked! The first real clues to the existence of GTA V! Here's hoping something leaks soo, for GTA VI lol

Prepped the second floor hallway for painting tomorrow.  Heck, it even involved having to sand down some plaster repair work I did...and that is never fun.  All the light fixtures are being replaced so they are all detached and hanging for now.

 

Just finished some electrical work in the kitchen.  Success!

Been having a weird weekend. I've been busy for the entirety of it without actually achieving anything, which feels weird. My interaction with people the last few days have been very confusing.

 

Ever had that feeling how people just don't like you for reasons you're unaware of?

It's like people will just look at me and think: "Hmm. This guy is a dick, what's wrong with him?"

 

I don't know if there's something I did that changed their perspective, and whether their negative interaction(s) with me would suggest that's true, but it really feels like that's what they think.

Got woken up at 4am by my neighbour in the flat underneath me watching a film at full blast volume. Had a massive palpitation which scared the sh*t out of me. Got 10 minutes *kip before being woken up by my alarm which I set in case I fell asleep before going to my evening cleaning job. Nearly got splashed by a car driving through a massive puddle.

 

Only highlight was buying some delicious clotted cream biscuits.

More of a "how was your week".

 

Drove across 2/3 of the US. Moving out to the Seattle area from the Chicago area. The drive was beautiful. It was sunny most of the way, but everything was covered in snow. Interestingly, driving through the plains was more dangerous than driving through the mountains. On the first day, there were high winds and snow was blowing across the highway. Mountains in Montana and Idaho are absolutely gorgeous. As soon as I got into Washington, the infamous cloudy/rainy weather started. I'm currently in a hotel waiting for my belongings to arrive (I'm not sleeping on the floor, f*ck that!). I like it out here so far, it's a lot more varied than the Midwest in terms of nature. A bit more expensive though.

I never realized how nice South Dakota and Idaho actually looked. I've only ever flown to the west coast, I don't think I could sit in a car for that long even though I'm sure the drive is beautiful. The Seattle area has a lot of good nature surrounding it. It's helpful if you're into that and definitely a plus. Chicago is much better for urban activities or kayaking in the rivers or Lake Michigan if you're into that, but you're not going to find vast pine tree forests or mountain ranges anywhere nearby.

 

My day was exhausting, btw, and I'm glad it's over. Finished it with some pizza, about to look for a dessert.

Bought a bacon and egg bun with a nice runny yolk while walking my dog, and my brother is going to be moving into my mum's house with our youngest brother because my mum's moving out to live with her friend because of her bad back, meaning I'll finally get my flat to myself. That also means I won't have to put the dog down when the time comes because he's taking her too :D
