I was feeling pretty good about myself today. Caught up with my teacher and she wanted to chat, told her I'd come to her later. When I did, she revealed to me that one of my teachers asked about me, specifically asking if I was special needs. That...killed all my joy.

I know special needs people, so that was a little f*cked up, but I know for a fact, I am far from it. So I spent all day trying to figure out how I came off as special needs to him. I know sometimes I have delayed responses or think aloud, but how does that equal special needs? No, I'm special, but I ain't special needs.

So she told him that I was one of the brightest people she knew and if anything I was quirky. I guess that cheered me up a little bit, but f*ck, talk about dropping a bomb on someone. Then again, I couldn't care less what people think, so I'm not tripping.

Don't sweat it.  The teachers told my parents my brother was slow when he was in elementary school.  He's a PHD in Physics now and teaches at Johns Hopkins University.  He was so bored in school they thought he was stupid.  Teachers don't know everything.

Pretty awful.

Stressed out at work and very bored.  Trying to get in on projects to no avail.

Kids are belligerent to each other, never want to eat anything I cook, and yesterday while being stupid in the kitchen I stabbed through my hand with a knife.  Needed 6 stiches (4 one side, 2 on the other)

It sucked.  Worse part was the needle they gave me before they cleaned and sutured it...hit the damn bone.

Had one hour's sleep so my day was rather crap. But I used my lack of sleep as an excuse to eat crap to keep my energy levels up.

Today's friday the 13th.
Im no superstitious, but people were talking about it all day long. This gave me enough suspence in addition that i have to go through some not the most quiet places on my way back home.

Sorry for the blur, had to go fast af.

@Sanches Only thing I'm superstitious about is walking under ladders. The last time I did that I banged my head and my dog hurt her leg in a small hole on the park on the same day.

Yesyerday I was cutting the grass, it was pretty grown and in three occasions I found small wasp hives. The bad part was the fright it gave me, the best, now there are no wasps hives in my front yard.

^ lol, I would probably have dropped everything and just run away! I sometimes freak out even when one wasp is circling my food at the street café in a certain manner <shudder>

I panic near stinging insects too.  Although, I do live with them and try to remain cool.  I'm one of those allergic people that die when stung by a wasp or bee.  Been in the emergency room twice and have poked myself with epinephrine more times than I wish.

Woke up this morning in a panic.  Looked over at my alarm clock and it read 6:30 AM.  My alarm goes off at 5:00 AM.  I freaked.

Then I realized it's Saturday.

Almost one of the best ways to wake up if you ask me.  So I hope it's a sign of the day.  Sunshine is also a positive sign.

Is it the song they are singing or the fact that 2nd guitarist is slightly out of tune that does your head in?

I know, dissing someone for their spelling mistake is so cheap, but what fun!!

I had roast lamb and potatoes. Weather was nice. I played Fornite and got top 5 (that's huge for me...I'm super crap)

Then when I fed my horses the neighbors dog (from across the road) was at the stable. They dont really feed or provide water for their dog and she wanders the street. She spends 99% of her time locked out of their yard. She's really friendly and all, so I filled up a bowl of water for her and brushed her to remove the bindies/thorns from her coat.

I swear, some people don't deserve animals.

Me and my wife woke up early this morning because I had work. After making my morning tea and scurrying back to bed for half an hour, we both noticed a worrying smell in the bedroom. It smelt like decay, or something rotting. We had a small pile of laundry, nothing untoward, though we do have four cats and one of them is big into hunting vermin. Every few weeks or so she'll drop a shrew or a mouse in the middle of the room, and we have to act like it's the best thing in the world so she isn't too disappointed when it's flushed down the toilet. I had a feeling she had chased something into the bedroom, and it had died of fright or something. Unfortunately, neither of us had time to look properly.

We've just returned back from work and errands, only to remember the smell. Begrudgingly I got onto my hands and knees, looking under, in and around everything I could. I thought like a mouse. Luckily for me, I didn't have to hunt far...

It was one of my old socks, forgotten and lonely under the bed. I pulled it out and held it aloft. Immediately, the smell wafts over and smacks across the face like an errant piece of litter in an updraft. I must have had a particularly hard day at work whenever I wore it, and it had somehow missed the trip from the floor to the washing machine.

Ladies, form a queue. One of my socks smelled like a dead rodent.

Fokin 'ell, Craig, maybe next time you can just use toilet paper like normal people instead of a sock.

Evil empire

I had a good day.

Even if I'm not passionated by football I watched the world cup final and I'm glad my country won. 66.gif😎😋

I know it's not a big event in itself but seeing a team winning because they worked well together when I see how selfish my compatriots become more and more and seeing a multiethnical team winning in times where the fascists are more and more powerful in so many countries is a nice message to the world. Whether we are Black, White, Arabian or something else doesn't prevent us from having a common culture and succeeding together, no brainwashed extreme-right-wing fool can deny it and I hope many persons will understand it. 46.gif

Today was odd. I don't know if i liked it or not.
So it's been constantly 30+ ℃ for 3 days straight. I've heard that heat can pull some levers and change the way a man can think, but it went a bit far. It's not a secret that im depressed for some years, but since spring i was feeling better. And today i got striked with thoughts of all bad factors that are currently affecting my live. I was in tram when that happened and got almost bursted in tears. Luckly it was empty (5 AM ftw). Like seriously, i've never experienced that before. I was left with these thoughts for the rest of a day. Could that be caused with heat or with the fact that i stopped using antidepressants for a solid month or even something else.

The better part of my day was that my trashholder backpack with usefull junk inside finally got a use! My shirt's button flied off, so i had to replace it with something else, i didn't want to shine with my belly around. So i took a cable tie from my backpack and placed it as it was a button. Cutted the tail with a knife (again from a backpack) and it was enough to keep the shirt as it supposed to be. A true post-apocalypse experience.
Was kinda fun to go to the bank with a cable tie for a shirt button.

^ Had somebody remarked upon it? And I hope you later got the shirt off without ghastly incident?

About that fit of sadness … the heat, the early hour (those ghastly night shifts still?) and even the tram being empty in the first place - I find it always touching seeing places that are supposed to be filled with people abandoned. Reminds me of specific people who should be around, yet are not. Maybe a portion of what in Germany is called "Weltschmerz" (lit. "world pain"), a form of general world-weariness and gloom, without any particular focus, in your 'case' ganged up with the usual load you carry around.

I guess, letting those tears roll is not a suitable recommendation, I know men tend to have a hard time doing this in public. Maybe, this is earnest, you should go some silent place, an old place at the river from childhood, your favorite park, whatever makes you feel comfortable, where you can keep your secrets, and really let it out. Or shout curses at the sky. But keeping things hemmed up is not healthy, some day something will just rip, tear away, and fly off, like that button.

My main mode of transportation is a public transit trolley.  I do own a car and motorcycle, but the trolley is my main mode.  At the very least I'm on it twice a day for the work commute.

Anyway...this time of year they don't run in "the tunnel" so I catch the trolley out front of my house like normal and then we detour through the neighborhood(s) and get dropped off to take the el (subway) train into town.

The whole thing is called the "trolley blitz" to try and take away from the pain in the ass of it all.  It's 10 days of pure hell.

The way home sucks worse because you take "the el" to a spot where you hop onto your trolley.  IT'S SUMMER!  HOT!  GROSS and SWEATY!  You have to stand out in the heat in a crowd of everyone waiting for their trolley.  So gross, so sweaty hot.

My day was going great until I had to clean some disgusting red stuff with bits of food in it caked on the bottom of a toilet at work. Turned the water a milky orangey pinkish with a hint of brown colour when I scrubbed it and flushed it multiple times, like a Body Fluid milkshake. Almost put me off my microwave Spaghetti Bolognese I'll be having tonight.

Everybody is complaining about the hot, sweletering conditions and I'm like, c'mon stop complaining that much about it the more attention you put to the hot the more it seems to be, it's all psychologic. Just don't think and all will be fine, yeah I know it might take a little effort to control your mind but try it.

It went well. Apparently, today was the last session with my mentor. I’m a bit disappointed about that. I was really interested to learn more and finish up the project. It didn’t feel like it was enough. I felt stuck at some points.

Like most of my interaction with others afterwards, my social anxiety kicks in. Throughout the 4 sessions, I couldn’t help but feel as if I was a bit slow for him, didn’t talk too much, or was just uninterested to communicate despite the 4 sessions being great. Now the rest is up to me, and the learning still continues.

Also, I’m getting back into reading and drawing once more. I didn’t get to eat much at the house for lunch, but Double Stuf Oreos with some milk made up for it. 😁

Pretty good. I had a lie-in, eat some breakfast, and now I'm chilling out with Early 2000's R&B mix on Youtube and trying to catch up on what I've missed on this Forum. I love Saturdays.

So far it's been terrible. Stubbed my toe on the table, and I missed a bus on my way to go shopping so had to wait ages. Glad to be finally home.

Basically the same as usual. I woke up groggy, went to work, come home and now I'm browsing my free time away on the internet.

I did go for a little walk in the park earlier to clear my head, which was nice and needed. I've been so stressed lately.

My microwave just broke. Had to throw away a half done microwave cottage pie. Door just popped open and won't close. And the worst thing is I'd have enough money to buy a half decent microwave if I didn't buy No Man's Sky yesterday.

Now I have to make an effort to cook food :(

Managed to change degrees. (I.T to Education)

Found that my previous 16 subjects (2 years) do not carry over to my new degree...

Had the first week of lectures and a tutorial in my new degree (Primary Education)

The lecturers treat everyone like children, everyone is super cliquey and the subjects I'm supposed to take are things I have learned before...

an ED subject to learn programming...I have 3 programming subjects with a CP code

an ED subject for psychology... I have PY subject that covers the same material

an ED subject to learn basic math.... I have an MA subject that gives a higher more advanced math

an ED subject to learn basic English.... I have a Bachelor of Journalism already and have completed higher tier English subjects

f**k

They took 2 years of subjects away from me and ask me to do them again, but this time with an ED code. It means I am looking at 4 years now, not the 2 I thought or rather told it was going to be.

CokkqRv.gif

Well... looks like I'll be changing again >.> no point in doing the 4 ED subjects I have now either as low and behold, no other discipline accepts anything with an ED code for credit except Education.
