Did I sound badass? I was simply trying to imply that I wasn't injured badly or anything.

Accidentally badass then, which is even more badass.  Sounded like you brushed off getting hit by car!

That's usual for Britons, we once had an old guy walk into a nearby bar after being hit by a bus.

Funny how i asked about traveling on foot a couple of days ago.
Today i had to go to the place which is ~14km away from the city. I've checked the maps and stuff, but at the end maps turned out to be outdated or me being stupid (as always). So there wasn't any bus going in that direction, so my best idea was to walk there on foot.
I got no problems with walking, i used to walk a lot during my shool days. But not such distances. The only thing that saved my day, was my old MP3 with a bunch of songs that really-really fits the theme. I even took some photos for some reason.

I'm certain a got a *midgie in each eye today. Eyes stung, but when I got home I saw nothing in my eyes when I checked in the mirror.

My day has been extremely long and noisy, cannot wait for tomorrow.

Looking forward to a day off, go for a nice long and peaceful bike ride. Then gonna go camping with my dog, sit underneath the stars and enjoy the simpleness of being outside. Ah yes, tomorrow is always better..

Just yet again witnessed another police chase while eating at my local taco shop in downtown LA near boyle heights. Lmao, It amazes me how this place hasn't changed much from back in the day.

Every time I see a street scene of LA in the movies or on TV there always seems to be group of young men (usually black) blocking the sidewalk, jiving and looking generally menacing. Just out of curiosity, how do you walk the streets of LA without being hassled or resorting to violence?

A show from television is much different than reality. Depending on which areas your looking at. If you look like a regular dude and not a possible gang member your fine. Plus the damn police won't always shine their search lights on your face from the patrol cars during the nights. Generally these days everywhere is safe since the days of various street gangs patrolling their territories and shooting up the neighborhoods days are long gone. Back in the day when i was growing up in Boyle Heights, everyone around me and even childhood friends seemed like ruthless vatos. Always kicking back in our 53's blasting those oldies while sporting creased chinos and Starched out White T-shirts. Our parks were never safe because occasionally we would get into fights with other cliques. And in some cases someone would end up getting shot. Those days are waaay long gone :rol: So It's pretty much safe out there these days and even a couple of my old homeboys can say the same who still live in the area today with their kids. Obviously the parks are now a family friendly place to bring your kids and have a nice barbecue. A good example is "Echo Park" which came out in a few hollywood movies. It's gone through a drastic change since the rough days of the 90's with various gangs who were trying to claim it in those days.

But LA's ghetto is much the same some would say "hence my comment" :p But with much less gang activity. Though I would say the homless population keeps getting worse around certain parts of LA. Areas like South Central and Ingle wood, I would stay away from IMO. No need to trip. The movies and TV portray LA in a wrong manner. Its' much safer place now to visit. But if you ever happened to come across some thugs just simpy walk away. Plain and simple :^:

My day was going fine until I opened my Fudge twin pot and saw only chocolate mousse and no fudge bits.

That's good to hear. Gangs and street thugs make good movie fodder but are a pain for regular folks.  Here in the UK the homeless problem has gotten worse of late, especially where i live in the centre of town.

Got my neck, ears, face and arms sunburnt. That's what happens when you go on a sunny and pretty hot day to hike a mountain with snow.

Been bumping Pacs gratest hits all day long with a couple of good friends of mine. His music has helped every single one of us in a way or another during rough times in our lifes. Once the night arrives, we're gonna smoke a few and pour out some bottles of Old english liquor for him. There's no telling what Pac could have achieved during his lifetime besides rap. He would have been a top actor, politician, spokesperson, Leader, even our f*cking president with that mind of his at only 25. He was the voice  The next Martin Luther King. And god knows Pac would be all over Trumps dumbass on racism and ignorance, Lmao.

Rest in paradise Makaveli.

Rest in paradise to the only and only one Tupac.

Almost forgot :D Might do a Bigge and 2pac mash up. Getting my playlist ready.

Hard to believe my man would have been 47 roday. Mabye not even half the rappers in the game right now would still be rapping. That's if most of the old artist were still here alive and well. Lot good rap artist from back in the days. But nothing stays the same really. Main stream rap isn't bad either when you find those good lyricist like Kendric, Cole, JID etc.. Anywas indeed RIP to a hip hop icon and legend :^:

Super chill.  This whole weekend.

Outside of having to do the grocery store stuff on Saturday morning I've had no real responsibilities, chores, or duties.  Ive been splitting my time between chilling in the back yard and video games in the cool house...beer in hand for both.

^ Sounds like a great weekend :)

I've had a nice weekend too. I was supposed to go on a hike yesterday at Pinnacles Nat'l Park, but that got cancelled. I'm sort of glad because I had a hangover from Friday night lol. Last night I made some music with a friend. Played drums on one of those MIDI drum pads, which I've never done before. Didn't take me long to get used to it though. Today I'm just hanging out -- writing code, drinking beer, and making food. :)

The Ghetto Jesus

Just finished working my 7th day in a row and decided to drive up to Cypress Mountain just for the sh*ts of it. I must say I'm glad I brought my camera with me. Vancouver, Canada in a nutshell.

A very lazy day. Had a day off work, only went outside once today to walk my dog, caught up on a lot of work I needed to do on my computer. Lazy, but progressive.

My day is over when I heard one of my favorite bands play a old favorite song again, I can't wait to see them for the fourth time playing this song and one of my dreams has come true.

Wait...there's a "new" Mexico?

For real though.  Enjoy shaping your life and your next adventure in education.  Fun times ahead.

My day?  One the ones I can't talk about.  I will say the weather is nice.  The humidity broke and it's comfy outside.  The dogs enjoyed their walk.
