How was your day?

The last few days have been extremely hot it's been 90°F steady. I can't stand the dry heat.

Boring birthday, no moneys til tomorrow, My buildings a/c isnt working properly, Cool air is coming out of the machines but its not accumulating so its like its not working at all unless I go stand next to the hvac unit... it too has been hot but we have a more humid heat here.

Well...this happened.   The reason it is special for me is because it started yesterday.  While running up my stairs for something absolutely hilarious I hit my toe so hard that it split.  Ouch!

Just a few minutes ago while running up my stairs to witness something even more hilarious than yesterday (related to the same event as yesterday) this just happened.  Ouch!!!

It's f*cking hot! BUT...I will take that over freezing my ass off during the Winter months. But, the damn power has been going on and off today. So, that's kind of annoying. Other than that, things are fine.

I got hit by a taxi today. Though I was hit by the rear wing of it and it wasn't going very fast so I got out with a minor scratch on my back. As soon as it hit me I simply got up and kept walking where I was going.

Got my new temporary job today. Nothing super natural, but this time when they gave me their rules/instructions book, it wasn't in any language i can fully understand.
The biggest problem is when you live in a certain country and can't understand the national language. So i've spent like 4 hours of going through all the paragraphs and trying to understand atleast a couple of words before i could actually start the work.

Would that be the "job offer abroad" you talked about earlier? (I spoke out bluntly and inconsiderate then, and I apologize if I misread the situation)

Day started so-so, got better fast, however.

 

First, returning from shopping, I broke my keys in the lock. That feeling when the initial bamboozlement following the snap! slowly gives way to the full horror of the situation dawning on you: A broken key in your hand, your still closed flat door in front of you, the remains in the lock blocking any spare key, clock already ticking by way of shopping bags containing ice cream standing at your feet. In Germany we have a saying that translates as "My heart dropped into my pants", I think you get the picture.

 

Luckily, the key broke just that millimeter deep enough into the lock that I could carefully adjust the headpiece to it and turn the lock anyway. I also was eventually able to get the key remains out, so everything's cool again.

 

Later the day I received excellent news in the mail, my invalidity pension is through (that is, fully official, there are different layers of temporal eligibility in the vast German pension system), ending six years worth of bureaucratic merry-go-round. Actually ending three decades worth of forcing myself going with the flow of a world I cannot compete in (although I want to assure me I did well for a while, and at least I've tried). That in itself maybe not seem a reason to celebrate, and I do feel a bit whiney today thinking about everything, but the pension thing is good overall, as small a sum as it might be. This is about freedom. I've come a long way sorting through a troubled life of Autism (and some other stuff), I've found my way, my passions, myself.

 

Just wanted to share that

Office trip again and dark stairwell strikes again. This time it acts more aggressive, i fell down all the way almost from 2nd floor. My back hurts...

Also before the epic fail (i really don't want to tell how i fell down) i've made photos to show you how spooky this place is.
   

 

Forgive my phone camera, it's old as social skills.

Update:
Oh boy, for the first time in my life im eating peanuts. Even tho if they're in a chocolate bar, that's actually the first time.

The condition is perfect. The problem is in dead lamps and my moves.
Also i have a lot's of experience of falling down the stairs in any possible way, so don't worry about it.

And your broken keys part of a story actually reminds me a case how i broke my keys while i was in a basement and got locked inside. But that's a whole different story...
