Re-spray.. Still Rusty...Really....

A Quick whine i suppose, but what is the deal when you take your nice rusty rat-loader (it happens with other rusty cars too) too the mod shop for a nice fresh coat of paint and after the rust is still there..

What monkey is re-spraying my cars ?? And even worse i still have to pay for it even though the job they done was rubbish, and i can still see the rust..

Where is the customer satisfaction in that ? I wouldn't pay for a shabby job like that in real life, Would you ?

 

I suppose on the other hand i should be amazed by how skillfully they manage to spray the whole car but expertly manage to miss the rusty bits..

Helpful hint: the rusty (Dirty) Rat Loader + Chrome + CREW COLOR makes for a nice effect.

 

TBH though my current Rat Loader is Torino Red Metallic with some pearlescent and it looks dope.

Rebell has a clean and a dirty version and they are 2 seperate vehicles.

I hate to break it to you, but the Rat Loader, Dune Buggy, Injection, and maybe some utility vehicles, all cycle through atleast 3 'rust' skins. I've seen pictures that prove this, but I'm on my phone. If you want, buy a dune buggy, or hell, a rat loader since they're free, stand in your garage and switch sessions a few times. Watch the rust skin disappear and magically reappear. It's like a top coat, faded paint on the roof and such. The actual rust doesn't get removed, but there are some skin differences. It annoyed me on my Dune Buggy when I had one.

 

PS. I've stolen atleast 150 Rat Loaders in single player, it happens to all of them.

Still in only one texture which gets realigned. But you cant get a CLEAN ratty, thats what i wanted to say.

Alright, yes, you can't get a 'clean' Rat Loader. One of the 'top coat' textures is almost clean though.

Technically you don't have to pay for the paint on the rat. All upgrades are free for a while.

i want to get one but im not sure if i should, theres a bedless glitch now, the bedless thing made rockstar originally take it out of the game, so i dont want to risk one of my cars for something rockstar couldnt fix within the 3 damn months they took it away

I know that the upgrades are free at the moment on the ratloader, but it first happened to me when i nabbed one of those DuneLoaders thinking that might look pretty sweet with a nice lick of paint and some decent rims on it, but alas no.. Still looked like a rusty piece of sh*te just with nice wheels..

 

I just think it's a bit of a shame, a respray should be a respray, not just a spray-around the rusty bits.

The top coat texture, statistic. Top of the fenders, hood, roof, there's subtle differences. Mainly the brightness of the texture.

I know that people are currently working on a hex edit to remove the rust. I just hope it works as a save edit. Would be nice having a clean rebel with the off road truck mods.

Yup. I just got rid of my Rat Loader and replaced it with a Roosevelt. The rust is a major turn-off.

It seems like they've dropped the ball with the vehicles. Why rust only Voodoo? Why even put it in the game? I'm pretty sure they can model a non-rusty version, so, why? Boy, GTA V sure is weird. And I still want to know why the clean rebel can't be stored.

You can get a fairly clean Rat-Loader. The texture does change. I got a rusty RL from the website, then found a "clean" one in the desert, naturally spawned. They are both in my garage, and their textures change from session to session.

I love the full chrome rat loader. It looks like bare metal ready for paint. Only car I have done full chrome on. The rest look like sh*t.
