Ok, so i been doing a lot of driving in GTA Online and my driving skill is now at max. Problem is, my other skills are pretty underwelming. Im at level 15. Most enemies are too hard for my shooting skill, so im forced to flee. Is there anyway to improve my other skills?

Headshots will put your shooting skill up. As will shooting targets in the target range.

Id suggest doing a few survivals... your shooting stat will increase rapidly. The rest you don't really need to worry about they will level up in due time

I think shooting range wouldbe good. Also wish there were more vehicle oriented missions, like chasing and avoiding missions. Missions for those who have high driving skill, but low shooting skill. An emphisis on the "Auto" part of Grand Theft Auto.

My driving and shooting maxxed just with regular gameplay by the time I was leveled into the 20's. I intentionally helped out my flying (I'd start every session by going to the helipad, stealing a chopper, and flying it to a survival) and stealth (rubber band on the beach...). Still suck on strength, but I play golf maybe once/week so it'll get there eventually. Underwater is about halfway there, I have not done anything for that, but I do evade the cops in the water quite a bit so it too will get there.

I think the biggest help in PvP is weapon (Carbine at 42) and overall health, which is level dependent. Once survivals unlock for you (have they yet?) use those at the beginning of every session to load up on the guns that you don't have unlocked yet. You get to keep them for the session, but they go away when you log out.

What's the purpose of even raising shooting skill?? I haven't noticed any sort of difference in gameplay after maxing mine.

You get more ammo and less recoil.

Im pretty sure it increases accuracy.... However I personally think its pointless anyway as the more you zoom in with a weapon the less accurate it becomes in my experience. If im running and gunning with my M4 (carbine) I get more headshots than I do if I just stand against cover and right click to zoom.

Note this is on Free Aim. Doubt it makes much difference in Aim Assist

Edit - I didn't know that ammo was shooting skill dependent - I assumed it was level based but your's makes more sense :p

Does beating up empty vehicles really increase your strength stat?

I've got all mine at max now except for the strength and lung capacity, not too bothered about lung capacity but I've gone up two strenth bars by beating up lots of pedestrians :D

I think the health level is the hugest difference when fighting with someone. I am a lvl 48 and my health is at I think 20.. I get killed real quick. And the other guy seems to last longer.. I am not the best shot. but, sometimes, it's like wow..

Yeah I have emptied clips into people's chests only for them to throw a couple bullets at me and I'm done for. (and I am pretty sure those weren't headshots)

I have noticed BIG differences when I finally upgraded the health stat. (It's level related, although it is glitchy and sometimes it won't level you up until you hit the next level up point)

Now there have been moments where I shouldn't have survived but somehow managed to take one bullet more than the next guy.

Shooting Range definitely

Also for strength, bash someone's car (friend) whilst someone is inside.

I use to take helis, planes everywhere to get flying stats maxed and you definitely get less turbulence.

... The "shooting" skill does so little. Its documented effect is "reduces recoil" but even at nothing for this skill you can unload a whole clip into the same point without issue.

yeah the shooting skill has very little effect especially when assisted aim sucks so badly at times

Levelling your shooting skill won't make much of a difference. Taking cover and popping out to shoot head shots is the name of the game.

i wasnt really trying to max out at first, but i didnt get my stats maxed til around level 100 or so. patience young squirrel master.

but if you would like some tips to speed this up...

shooting skills - play some survival matches.

strength - play golf... dont try melee combat it takes too long, golf was much faster, if solo play 1 hole to speed this up even faster

stealth - just enter passive, enter stealth mode on your controller and hold in run while you run along the sidewalks in sleath mode, do stealth attacks when you can.

flying - dont waste time flying to max this out i flew for hours and hours and seemed to not get much result. get one of the small planes, hit the airport and take off and land over and over. takes about 45 min to max out.

underwater breathe - jump into the ocean, float near the top then come up for air as needed, repeat til its maxed, another 45 min or so.

hope that helps

if i left anything out please add on people...

also check youtube people made good tutorials if you dont understand any of it...

also there is a hidden "max health" stat... this occurs natrually it seems around level 100 it maxes out...
