R* added a new twist forcing you to use Ron's plane ( trying to) I did it the normal way, jumped fence, bombed lasers and drove into hangar next to Bob. Bob seem to take more damage than usual but made it back no problem. BUT, the whole time the message said "get in Ron's Plane" Even after I landed Bob back at the Heli pad, so I got in Ron's plane and it changed to " Steal the Cargobob" ran back and started up Bob and got the "Passed message" Took about 9 mins from launch to launch ( no restart available) $18750 on Hard

 

Gonna try it with assited aiming off as you dont shoot anyone anyways, see if payout / RP increases

 

1575 RP on Free Aim, so another 250RP above normal

I have always done it where I/we get in his plane, THEN, do the rest of the mission, so not a big deal, sounds like no change was made....

This. Fly to Sandy Shores, enter cockpit of Ron's plane, exit cockpit, get back in own aircraft, complete mission.

I think he means that he tried to trigger the plane marker, immediately got out, then went to the base. But the mission marker still remained on the plane until he returned with the bob.

 

Maybe I read that wrong but even still pretty easy to circumvent using rons sh*tty ass plane.

I never use the plane, I enter it, I exit it..still my current scenario

-than drive my Entity from Sandy Shores to Fort Zancudo

-take the first available bridge/entrance to the fort just after the ammunation..

-hit the corkscrew jump just to the right of the security booths by the tree

-land inside, put a sticky on each plane..detonate

-drive into hangar park an inch from Cargo Bob door

-enter bullet proof Cargo Bob

-fly away, Pass.

All while ignoring every enemy, and gunfire, beats using a buzzard and its faster than a plane.

Ron's Plane is a bad move for a lot of reasons - mostly because once you land you cant move around. Taking a car usually gets there before the plane, doesnt set off the wanted level until you blow the first Lazer and allows you to drive right into hangar and hop in bob without firing a shot.

 

Playing solo like this I always got the "destroy Lazers " message as soon as I jumped the fence, now I get the "Rons Plane" message until I get out of Bob and jump in the plane. No big deal, adds a few seconds.

 

Coveted is still faster, probably make money faster grinding it but Base Invaders is more fun
