Stunt Jumps Guide - Review, Tips and Info for completing Online

Hey Gang,

After sharing the Gang Attacks guide last week, someone asked me to share the Stunt Jumps guide too. I wasn't going to do this as I thought it was pretty self explanatory but having completed all 50 jumps yesterday I found that it's a lot harder than it seems.

This is the guide I used: http://www.gamesradar.com/gta-5-stunt-jump-locations/

The guide was created for completion in SP mode so there are some differences, I have noted below. Also there could have been more description given to which vehicles work best, where to approach ramps from, how far to go and where to land. So I've done that below for the ones that I found difficult.

General Tips

  • Have a fast bike available: Modded Bati, Akuma or Double T
  • Have fast cars available that don't spin out: Adder, Entity
  • Have disposable cars available - cars that can be sunk: Low insurance excess or NPC cars.
  • It helps to do this with friends. Some of the jumps are very temperamental about their landing locations and the more people doing the jump at the same time will increase the speed of which you will all figure out the exact way required to pass it. Also one person can have the fast car as their active personal vehicle and one can have a fast bike and you can just share vehicles as they're required for the particular jump.
  • Call your mechanic often. Sometimes driving away from your personal vehicle if it has taken on damage and calling for a fresh one will make the jump easier. Also flying between jumps in Blaine County is a lot quicker.
  • Most jumps are best done with a fast bike. Where bikes are not feasible are jumps with big falls. For these, you are likely to come off your bike on the landing.
  • If it's raining and you're having trouble finishing a jump. You're best just to wait the rain out. It's nearly impossible to do some of the off-road jumps in the rain.

Jump Specific Notes:

  1. This jump is best done with a bike.
  2. Jump this from the southern end.
  3. Easy
  4. Easy
  5. Jump this with a disposable car. It would take some skill to be able to land this one without it ending up in the water.
  6. This jump is best done with a bike.
  7. Easy.
  8. Best done with a slower car such as an NPC car from the highway. I kept jumping too far with a fast car and landing on the roof of the prison. You only have to land on the ground inside the fences.
  9. You only have to land under the overpass so don't worry about building up too much speed.
  10. I found this one quite hard as my vehicles would often spin in the air in all on all axes - successful with the Entity. Try veering off to the right on this one and you need to make it to the road.
  11. This jump is best done with a bike.
  12. This jump is best done with a car.
  13. This jump is best done with a bike or golf cart. Approach the jump from the western end. Don't go too fast or you will be clothes-lined by the archway on the other end.
  14. This jump is best done with a bike.
  15. This jump is best done with a bike.
  16. Easy.
  17. This jump is best done with a bike. You have to drive through the removed panel on the left and land in the petrol station. One of my crew members had problems with the barrier he smashed through messing up his orientation, so he planted a sticky bomb on it and blew it up as he drove up to it.
  18. Easy.
  19. This jump is best done with a bike. It can help to have a friend hold up traffic for you on the far side as well.
  20. Easy
  21. Easy
  22. This jump is best done with a bike. One of my crew members has trouble landing it with his Double T though so many a bigger more stable bike like the Daemon is the way to go.
  23. This was one of the hardest jumps for us to complete. It seems so simple but we just couldn't get the completion. I ended up coming back myself and finishing this on my own as we got sick of repeating it and moved on. I completed this with the Entity and I stuck to the right side of the ramp and did not veer to the left at all on my successful attempt. Edit: The secret to this one is to veer to the right as you take off so that you land in an orientation that will let you continue to drive down the street. This seems to be the intention of all of the stunt jumps - that they should be able to be weaved into natural driving. It may be R*'s intention that they could be used in races.
  24. Easy
  25. Relatively easy and best completed with a slower car as you don't have to go too far. Build up too much speed and you will land in the unit blocks passed the road.
  26. Finding this jump is the hardest part about it. The description says to the south of the Weasel News building and the picture shows him entering the alley from the south, heading north, which is a little confusing as you would normally find the Weasel News building and then head south.
  27. Easy
  28. This jump is best done with a bike.
  29. Again, finding this jump is the hardest thing about it. The concrete ramp shown in the pic is how it looks on both sides. The best way to find this is to either find the aqueduct shown on the right in the picture or use jump #30 to jump over the railing and land on the grassy patch to the right. Once you find it you want to approach it from the western end.
  30. Easy. Just land on the motorway. You're only trying to jump the intersection here.
  31. This was one of the hardest jumps for us because we was following the guide's instruction to use a bike. In actual fact you should use a fast car. Approach the jump from the eastern end, jump over two bridges and land in the heliport by the docks.
  32. Easy
  33. This jump is best done with a fast car. You will have to spin your orientation a fair bit to make sure you plant this.
  34. This was one of the harder jumps to do and we're still not sure where you have to land other than that landing to the left is best. The problem is that the view goes to the cinematic cut screen and its hard to control the orientation of your car from this view. This jump will make your car spin on all its axes so it's hard to correct your orientation. My successful attempt was in an Adder landing on the overpass in the same direction as the traffic up there. I approached it from the road on the right and cut across the pavement, landing it well left of the actual ramp. One of my crew members took it from right in front and landed in the car park in front but slightly to the left of the jump.
  35. This jump is best done with a bike but can be done with any vehicle really. You just need to get a lot of distance on your jump to clear the gate and get a clean straight jump to avoid hitting the sides of the container or the building on the right.
  36. This jump is best done with a bike.
  37. Easy
  38. Use a fast car or get a good run up as you need to make some distance here to get into the the property on the far side. The description suggests you only have to clear the water but that's not true for a successful jump.
  39. This jump is best done with a car.
  40. This jump is best done with a car.
  41. This jump is best done with a bike as a car will likely flip on these dirt mounds. The key is getting a lot of distance in your jump. The key to doing that is to hit the right part of the mound that makes your bike jump upwards. My successful attempt had me high enough that I cleared the light post you can see in the picture and this may be the requirement for a pass. Be prepared to land in the water at least once.
  42. The guide says to use a bike but I used a car. I just had to have a few goes at it.
  43. The guide shows a bike but says to use a car and I agree with this as you need a lot of speed to jump quite a great distance. However try to use a disposable fast car as there's a good chance of getting wet on this one.
  44. Easy with a fast car
  45. Remove any NPC cars that spawn nearby. Try to make a lot of distance but land on the right side of the roof. This one took a lot of goes for us to nail.
  46. The guide says to use a bike but I used a car. I just had to have a few goes at it.
  47. The guide says to use a bike but I used a car. It took a lot of goes to pull this off so maybe a bike is best.
  48. The guide says to use a bike but I used a car.
  49. This jump is best done with a bike.
  50. This was one of the harder ones to complete. Again with a dirt pile ramp, you should use a bike but you will need to build up alot of speed to clear both roads. I did a full lap of the circuit to build up speed with a Bati race bike. Again hitting the right part of the mound is key so that you get a lot of vertical displacement which in turn means you get more air time and go further.

Good luck!
