What's the point of bikes?

Yes, cycles, bicycles, what's the point of them?

I honestly will go out and do crazy stunts (some sweet but not so crazy as jumping off a plane with a bike, such as doing a standing jump over a full scale metal fence in the backyards of the hood houses)

But nowadays, everyone just kills me or blows me up, or tries to crush me (I usually jump just in time to get launched 300 feet in the air)

So, what's the point if you can't even use them anymore?

Variety or something different to fool around with. If you're having these issues then just go to a crew or invite only session with people you know and trust.

Bunny hops.... a person in my crew is always on a bike, and honestly if I saw someone doing stunts or riding around I would assume they are trying to have fun and just leave them alone.

Im assuming passive mode on bikes works the same way as cars? If so power in numbers or solo/invite session is the only safe option unfortunately.

Everyone who drives in real life has, at least once, fantasised about running a cyclist down in their car. The presence of bicycles in this game presents that very opportunity.

Biohazard Abyss

Killing someone in an Entity while riding a purple BMX was the best feeling ever.

I remember one of my very first kills on someone online was on a BMX, after they tried to run me down with a Sultan.

*facepalm* Bmx bikes are for fun. If you don't have fun while riding them then don't ride em.

Such a stupid thread. Smh seriously...

Rarely ever use them. I guess they are for friend's that visit and you want them to get the f*ck out or something along those lines.

If someone rams you in the middle of a bunny hop you don't take ramming damage. You take fall damage from the mid-air thing going on.

Because random people are a** holes. Ive been doig some bmx at the parks around LS. Much fun.

Find some people to ride with in invite only sessions. There are crews who do alot of bmx.

Sorry if I sounded a lil harsh.

I have the same issue when I ride my bmx in public lobbies, but it makes it fun. Especially if they ONLY try to run you over. I've successfully evaded people for 10-15 minutes before they manage to knock me off the bike.

Its kind of obvious why other players shoot at you. They are trying to have fun catching the guy on the bmx! It is only a game. It's fun. I guess that's my opinion though...

If they begin to spawn kill you etc. yes, I would be ticked.

Sometimes I use the BMX for missions especially when they're more than 3 miles away, sure my right thumb gets sore but it's nice using something else for a change. Also it's very fun when you're using it on the freeway towards the oncoming traffic cos you can make ridiculous bunny hope if you time it right :D. I agree about it being pointless when you use it in public lobbies cos it's not a pleasant experience but you're better off using it in invite sessions as said above

Go in passive mode, and hop onto a ledge. Then get out. For the most part they'll just try to smash their way up to you in vain.

Also, get a Scorcher. Jump then landing on one wheel is epic.

Some find it fun. Others find it annoying. I dont see any challenge in shooting someone on a bike or taking them out when they obviously have no interest in shooting back. If I came across a biker who shot at me first then yeah, its on. But if they are minding their own business its like shooting fish in a barrel. I know there is always solo sessions but how are you supposed to find like minded randoms who just wanna have a pedal around that way. I came across a player doing jumps at the skate park. I ended up going back to my apartment and getting my bike and coming back. We both had a good session mucking around and in the ended FR'ing each other. We have played a fair bit together since then too. I get what you are saying and it does have to be expected in a public lobby but it would be nice if there was a unwritten rule that if they are on a bike and not shooting you leave them be.

This is why I'm all for seperate PVE and PVP lobbies. I actually met a random today and smashed Scorchers down Mt. Chillad. It's really fun when you can meet like minded people to free-roam with and I've actually added 2-3 players I've met through bmxing in public free roam.lobbies

They could at least make Passivemode work on a bike and disable your ability to shoot while riding. That would help a lot.

Yeah if passive mode worked on bikes it would be fantastic. Its not like you can kill someone by running them over on a bike anyway (probably could if the player you are trying to kill is really stupid and wont move). That would solve a few issues. I think a PVE only lobby would segregate the players even more than it is now (free aim/auto aim and good sport/bad sport) and lobbies would be close to empty is some cases. With the passive mode though you still run the risk of someone running over you but at least it would stop the really cheap shots on you while riding. You would have a fighting chance to avoid the car. Jump them, dodge them ect.

You should be able to be in passive mode on a bicycle. I get why it should be disabled when your in a car or any other vehicle, because you can run people over or you can have a mixed set of passive / non-passive mode players in a car but bicycles are solo vehicles and impossible to kill someone in.

...I'm going to make this suggestion to Rockstar now.

While you're at it, suggest them to go f*ck themselfs.

Nah JK.. but really suggest them to bring back hotring racers&bangers, and suggest them to go f*ck themselfs.

I ride a lot. It is fun to ride some back streets you don't normally use. I would like passive to really work and bullet proof tyres. If you hop on a wall in passive, some players will shot them flat in frustration.
