Crew's are missing the point

I totally agree with you. Crews are pointless if it's a free for on everybody in your crew. For that reason I quit my crew and am now just solo. Good luck on finding a decent crew.

And I totally agree with your agreement of the OP. Despite some small efforts on my part, my crew is just not interested in participating in any kind of group gathering.

 

The response I got when I suggested it was, "Ain't nobody online no more."

I suggested this R* a while ago (November or December):

 

Crew Leaders should be able to change the friendlyfire for crew members. On/Off/Auto-Aim off

On: Can attack Crew Members

Auto-Aim off: No Auto-Aim but Free-Aim

Off: Invulnerable to Crew Members

 

Crew Leaders should also get a log if crew members kill each other:

Where? Free Roam, Mission, DMs ...

How? Road Kill, Gun ...

When?

 

And there should be a punishment system. If a crew member kills you in free roam 3 times in a row, you should be able to choose a punishment like:

Lightning bolt (Ouch)

Meteor (Destroys a tank)

Time Bomb (Has to pay insurance himself)

Here's a new feature R* should install in its next patch "no friendly fire between active crew members".

 

I have just started my 4th active crew, having gone to Kingpin on the previous 2. Every multiplayer match i go to I try to get ones within my active crew, only to find them shooting and killing each other. If there were no friendly fire between active crew members it would force them to work together as a TEAM regardless of if they know each other. Just like in team deathmatch, the more crew members in the free roam session the more they can dominate the game. Also pick your role within the free roam, if u have a tank or a Buzzard you could put them to good use protecting other crew members, start imaginary missions, like a joint effort to capture Ft. Zancudo and keep other crews out.

 

Now its just un loyal chaos and is pointless to even have crews if they can kill each other.

this needs to be done! I am so bored that a crew member accidentally drives me over; or when someone leaps out of the car; you get the kill if he dies... WTH? I didn't even touch him. This should be fixed.

No Friendly Fire between crew members possible. This will make battles better; because you can just fire onto the enemy instead of getting an accidental headshot to one of your friends... which happens far to often xD

[ Xbox ] Tryin to recruit, some more people in our crew, we are ALL adults, no kid policy. Bunch of fun & halarious guys and girls, most of us have gf, so u wont be hit on, possibly flirted with ( hey its in our nature lmao ) . We allways have people on , we arent huge but we arent small, ( that didnt sound right hahaha ) but we are a tight crew and you will never be bullied. Members will allways locate u and be jus around the corner, we all have mics. WE do everything u can do in gta ! Most of all we are respectful to our members regardless of sex. Sooooo if ur interested hmu on here or in game. GT Is the same as here ! Have a good nite . Hope to hear from ya ! Perfer 21 and older but 18 and up and mature!

I recently joined a couple of crews from here (GTAForums Crew, QOTD, MODified) having played solo since day 1. These last few weeks have been the most fun I've had in my entire time playing. Always having at least one person to hop into a game with to cause carnage, level up, grind while having a chat makes the game so much better than playing on your own.

 

You're better off joining a crew with a small amount of friendly, active players instead of one of the large crews (IGN, MP3 etc) which have thousands of members, but no coordination or communication.

Not all crews, just the ones that i have encountered, i was expecting more teamwork from strangers. My previously addicted game was COD BO 2, teamwork was a must in Domination. And when does the crew ranking end? Im at 155 with IGN, i must admit i got way more job invite with a 200 member crew, than with IGN's 500,000+ crew.

If you played domination, there is no way you're surprised at any lack of teamwork from strangers.

Don't get me wrong, there is a bad apple every now and then.... But you can just let the crew leader know they are lurking in the light and they will be warned, if crew loyalty isn't in their repertoire, they're gone.

My very very small crew has a nice mix. We help level, get money, and if someone messes with one of us, you get all 6 after you.

 

However, we also do enjoy killing each other in ridiculous ways. It's not our focus to go out and kill each other as much as possible, but we definitely have good laughes at each others expense.

Theres no massive crew turf wars or anything. Game is designed in a way that makes crews useless.

 

If it followed an mmo stuctured of servers of thousands of players. You could engage in largescale crew turf wars and fight for control of the city. Or any number of other things. Currently though you can't really do anything except earn 10% more rp.

 

Crews are useless. Because theres nothing in the game you need a crew for and nothing you can't do without a crew

You can't have a race without getting rammed if you don't join one of the 2 or 3 good clean racing crews out there. Loads of planned events and crew meets are awesome too. A good crew keeps the game playable.
