You're on a medium used for communicating THROUGH WRITTEN TEXT! Where in the world do you think grammar would have more of a use? Writing a book? If you can't communicate clearly with other people then.. just don't, or learn to. Anyway.. /rant. All they are simply saying it the content is not suitable for the age of the child and that I can agree with. You can raise your child how you want but when your child interacts with other children and teaches them age inappropriate things thats where the teacher has a duty of care to intervene like they have. Thats the way I see it anyway. More and more children are raping each other and it's not right. What the actual f*ck? We have children raping children in first world countries, this is not on and the reason why it's happening quickly needs to be found. It's always in our local papers over in England. Graduated from university, went to law school briefly, and now I'm working on becoming a police officer. I've never been charged with a crime, raped someone, or stolen. I really think that any kid is mature enough to play any game/see any movie (I saw Silence of the Lambs when it came out in theaters, I was one year old) granted they have two parents who are both loving and being responsible parents (e.g., teaching right from wrong, explaining what fantasy is, encouraging social interaction, etc.). The letter specifically states: "ensure that your child will have no contact with this or any other age inappropriate games" The principal is absolutely right, and isn't suggesting that GTA be banned. The game is no more appropriate for children than porn, or a gore-fest, or a graphic documentary about the Holocaust. The principal is pleading with parents to pay attention to what their kids are doing. I've got no problem with that. Pay attention and ask them about their day etc.. get to know them as people, because that is what they are.
