sid_vicious74
taken from the Daily Mail newspaper in UK. about a school in Wales. this is a copy of the letter the head teacher sent out to all parents of the school. blames GTA for everything. full arctice at this link http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2557533/Children-young-six-acting-drug-rape-scenes-Grand-Theft-Auto-PLAYGROUND-says-headteacher.html .we all know that its the young kids and video games that are to blame for all of societies failures. 'TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THEIR AGE': HEADTEACHER MORAIN MORGAN'S LETTER IN FULL Dear Parent/Carer. I have recently encountered some extremely concerning behaviour including the use of very bad language by children (some as young as 6 years old). Investigation of these incident has usually led to the same place: the children involved had first hand experience of video games totally inappropriate to their age. There are a number of games involved but the common factor is that they are clearly labelled with age certificates of 16 or 18. One game in particular causes me concern more than any other and this is Grand Theft Auto. Exposure to the game has resulted the following: Children initiating games that involve simulating rape and sexual intercourse.Children acting out scenes from the game which include the strongest of sexual swearwords.Children having detailed conversation of drug use.Children having conversations about prostitution, masturbation and oral sex.Children play acting extremely violent games that sometimes result in actual injury. Many of you may be unaware of the content of this game - until recently I was. With this in mind I have included a product description of Grand Theft Auto at the end of this letter. I am sure, that now you are aware of the shocking content of this game, you will ensure that your child will have no contact with this or any other age inappropriate games. I am sure you will appreciate that behaviour of the kind described above cannot be tolerated within our school and I am sure that none of us would want our children exposed to it. I appreciate that sometimes exposure to these games may happen without parents' knowledge; children may play games at friends' homes or with older family members. May I ask you to be alert to this possibility. As a school we have a duty of care to all our children. Should I become aware that pupils continue to be exposed to these games, I will contact individual parents and ultimately may have to instigate child protection procedures. Yours sincerely M. Morgan, Headteacher Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2557533/Children-young-six-acting-drug-rape-scenes-Grand-Theft-Auto-PLAYGROUND-says-headteacher.html#ixzz2t99diDF0 Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

Bozzah
well, it's always been like this, the time hasn't really changed that much. Kids just imitate things they see in games, movies etc. I don't see a problem in this nobody can blame the movies/games for that. if they can't "handle" the content, they shouldn't play it, for f*cks sake... SmokeDat
This is friggin sad. People need to learn to be better parents instead of blaming video games...Christ. Smh. Cincy32, ~TKP~, CaliMeatWagon and 9 others

EDIT: Maybe the parents should actually look at the age part beforehand...common sense but nyways. Any parent who lets their pre-teen play this isn't a good parent, in my opinion. Teenagers, alright...I can see them playing this, but 12 and under? No sir. I actually played GTA at the age of like 9 or 10, but my parents let me play it because I didn't show any noticeable negative behaviour because of the game. I kinda just realised that it's just a game and that stuff shouldn't be done in real life, I guess that's why they allowed me to play it. props to them iBUCKEYE

PerceusSOZ
TL;DRJay, don't be a retard or imma kick your ass on Xbox. Just sayin. I agree with the OP. Yesterday my brother (10) was swearing, so I walk in and he's playing GTAIV. Immediately took the game away and locked it in my games case. I don't want him to follow in my terrible footsteps, and GTA doesn't help any. WavyWeazel

Some people are able to understand that it's a video game, and can discern the line between them and real life. Keyword is 'some.' Isn't that sad? GTA-Freak-Vi
Of course they'll blame the game because it's a cheap way of bailing out just like how celebrities blame it on the drugs when they're clearly at fault. Angers me how little they know about the game I mean "Children initiating games that involve simulating rape and sexual intercourse." when were we able to this in any GTA game... ChillerVapes
They blame the game but in the end of the letter, they threaten the parents with social services. I'm a parent myself and don't let my daughter play it or even let her in the room when I am on it. I actually only play it at times when she's at school or what ever. A lot of parents are thick and it's about time they issued fines or something for families who allow children to experience a movie or game or anything which is age restricted. Parenting isn't hard, it's common sense. redfirebird87 and Hoosierdaddy76
