Buffalo Mk. II Just spawned Online

So I just transitioned from SP to MP, and was about to sell my car. I was parked about a block from the LSC in the middle of the city, but spawned in the parking lot so I had to walk all the way to my car.

 

On the way there I noticed a Buffalo and a Ruiner parked next to each other.

 

Upon closer inspection it turned out to be a Mk. II so I thought "it must be some people having a car meet or something." But then I had the inexplicable urge to get in it, despite having one of my own.

 

That's when my character proceeded to elbow the sh*t out of the window and hot wire the car. As you might imagine, this came as quite a surprise to me. So I took it in to the shop and sure enough, I could keep it, customize it and everything.

 

Directly in front of the spawn, in the road, there was a yellow and black Mk. II with a similar busted window, which I could also keep.

 

And the grey one is scooted up from the original spawn point a little bit because I was about to take off before I thought I should record it.

 

Just thought I would share this.

 

EDIT: Yes, I know, there are many ways you could do this using the SP to MP glitch. I'm merely posting something that happened to me. Feel free to check the location, as those are two legitimate car spawns. I've seen many different cars parked there.

 

Another thing, in one of the pics where there is a player in front of me in the street: That's where the yellow one was. The player was some guy in a sultan just sitting there, I think he was looking at the Buffalo, too. It looked like someone else found the yellow one before me though, because it's window was already broken

Well. There are a lot of white blips around where the picture was taken.

I might be mistaken but can't it be done as such:

• Simply bring over two MKIIs from SP and put them in your garage
• Drop one off in front of LSC
• Have another player sit in it/stand near it, break the window out
• Walk back to your garage
• Grab second MKII
• Drop off in front of LSC
• Have another player sit in it/stand near it, break the window out
• Go back to your garage
• Grab random vehicle to "prove" that the MKII isn't your PV

 

I've seen numerous people do soemthing similar to this with their personal vehicles for a picture of their cars outside their garage

If that Buffalo was his PV, he wouldn't have a PV icon on the map.

i'll believe it when there's a mass of people making a hooplah about finding it, one single person "finding" it does not mean it spawns online, no offense to op, but i'm a "wait and see" type of person

The PV icon on map doesn't prove anything since you can call a pegassus vehicle and have that show on map as a PV. I hope it's true but as of right now i call BS. Also anyone can glitch it in unmodded and create this same exact evidence. A friend duping one will also do it. Whatever though, ill be back when it happens to MORE than ONE person.

After reading all the replies, I'm a bit skeptical too. I guess I'll have to see it to believe it. It doesn't make sense R* would do this, when they seem to be very limited on any changes they make to the game.

No point going down the "OP is lying" road - either he is or he isn't. Seeing as I'd prefer to believe that the Buff Mk II can be obtained legit in Online, and that there's no point in my replying to this thread if it's just to add the tenth "I call BS", I'm going to go with "isn't".

 

So, tomfoolery aside, how can this happen? The first car could be the result of an unintentional SP-to-MP glitch (OP, were you by any chance playing Franklin and in his Buffalo when you switched? And were you near the LSC in SP also?) - after all, many of the pieces are already there; came in from SP, spawned at Last Location, wasn't in PV - there is already more than one way to make that glitch happen, so it's possible that the OP just accidentally discovered or employed one of them.

 

That doesn't explain the second car, tho. About the only way the situation as described by the OP could come about is if the Mk II spawned in traffic. This could have been because OP was already driving one, but the Mk II has been around since day one so if driving it could spawn it, it would have happened by now. The different paint job certainly points towards a random spawn (another question for the OP - were either of the Mk II's painted the same way your SP Franklin has his?).

 

The only thing I can come up with is a Good Samaritan - someone is glitching Mk II's into pubic sessions and then just leaving them for other players. Anyone want to poke holes in that theory?

No, I was Trevor in SP and Frank's Buffalo is Lime Green with carbon panels all over for me.

 

Now, I WAS doing the Customization glitch (custom rims on a dune buggy, etc.), but that was so I could sell my Rapid GT, which had the $50,000 limit on it (only worth 13,900 btw).

 

So I thought, maybe because of that some SP cars bled into MP somehow? BUT, that glitch doesn't work the same as SP to MP as far s i know so idk how that could've been the reason.

 

As for the good samaritan theory, I don't believe that is a viable option, as my character broke into the car instead of just getting in.

 

After the pics, I did drive around for a bit to see if some could spawn, but no dice.

BUT! I do know that Frank's plate is unique in that it only has few characters, not a "full plate" like the AI do, if that makes sense.

 

So based off the plate that IS visible (barely) to me it looks like a "full plate".
