Don't overlook the Banshee, it's cheap and nearly as fast as the Carbonizzare in my experience. Surrano is fast and drives pretty well, but it's pretty fat which makes it a handful in tight quarters.

Really, the best thing you can do is find a track you like (Thrills in the Hills is what I use), go into a solo race and run a few laps in each car and find out for yourself what works best.

The Surano is severely underrated. It really sticks to the ground and it has a quick acceleration. Top speed is comparable to the higher-end sports cars, and it has good brakes. I'd have to race with again to see if it's the best.

I forgot to mention the 9F! Not the Cabrio, but the standard hard-top. Great handling, amazing speed and acceleration. The brakes are among the best for land vehicles. Overall, this car is a beast and is the one can take a Carbon head on.

It's rather subjective with what's the best and worst though. I say this in a lot of threads titled "best _____ car," but go to SP and test them out! Can't stress that enough...

Carbonizzaire for top speed and acceleration. Elegy for handling b/c it's AWD. 9F swings a lot so you must know how to apply brakes and when. Those are the ony 3 I fully modded. Best bang for the buck is obvously the Elegy but remember you can't sell it. My fully modded Carboniazzaire is like $240k if I sell it.

chrome adder

I said SPORTS car, dumbass troll

The RH8 duh.

the handling on that is bad, and the stats are bad too,

ROFL, this guy made me laugh...

the r35 is one of the fastest car in the game when fully modded, if you think it handles bad then you clearly can't drive for sh*t.

handling - elegy

speed - carbonizzare / 9f

customization - coquette

the real answer is if you can learn to use the 9F properly, its the best sports car. it has very high top speed and amazing acceleration. the handling is absolutely dreadful for inexperienced drivers though. hell, i consider myself a pretty damned good driver and even i cant control the 9F through some corners.

Above Omnipotence

You're getting mixed answers because alot of people here are not really true racers. It's not hard at all to answer the topic creator's question. Here are your answers:

Fastest top speed: Carbonizarre

Best all around performance and speed: Elegy

2nd. best overall and speed: Feltzer

The Feltzer used to be the best all around performance and speed until the Elegy came on the scene but, the Elegy is only slightly better.

You can't remember how 3 cars handle? lol

Nope. As soon as I get to the 3rd car I cant remember how the first one handled. Besides, its hard to compare speeds without othres helping :vUm..when you do a race it gives you the time at the end... I think that would be good way to compare..

Tried and owned them all a few times over, settled on the Carb. Win more with it, handling great when you learn to drive and looks the best for me. Convertible too in-case you like getting shot.

9F / 9F Cabrio and the Carbonizzare are fairly on par in terms of performance, but the 9F gets the edge for me because of it's looks.

And I'm a bit of an Audi fanboy.

Nobody mentioned the comet? It's a great car and very cheap, but don't let the price tag fool you! It has amazing acceleration and handles just like a real sports car, lets the rear end controllably slide in corners which makes the car fun. It also has an acceptable amount of strength to it and it's quick at recovering from crashes.

EDIT: typo.

Elegy or 9f hardtop, depending on your style.

Elegy just claws its way out of turns, but braking isn't so good. On the other hand, its planted teh whole time.

9F stops fast and rockets out, plus you can powerslide like a madman.

edit: drove a friends fully modded fusillade in MP. its actually alot of fun. would consider. i think if there weren't free elegies for new players, we'd see alot more of these.

What colour is that? Is it chrome?Olive Green metallic with a Bleached Brown pearlescent. Bleached Brown adds a lovely glossy shine to any metallic - my tip for the day! :D Edited by Jimrod

The Elegy is superior on a track, if you know how to maintain speed around corners. It's even faster than an Adder around some tracks.

Second is Feltzer.

Best regard.

Only really came in to see the arguments.

Worth pointing out that you can't test the Surano in races, or you couldn't when I was testing.

Drag racing, Carbzz or Surano.

Actual racing, Elegy then Feltzer.

There really isn't much to choose between sports cars so a lot of it is down to personal choice, driving ability and style.

Surano, 9F and Carbzz are very fast if you can handle them, 9F and Surano are the 2 hardest sports cars to control.

Elegy, Feltzer and Coquette are much more manageable and hold speed thru corners better.

For overall lap times and building momentum round a track, nothing can touch the Elegy.

Yeah, this topic comes up a lot, and here's the answer: There is no ONE single sports car that dominates all the rest, but the top 3 are Carbonizzare, Feltzer, and RH8. This is strictly for racing. I prefer the Carbonizzare because I love Ferrari and I think it's the sexiest, fastest sports car in the game. I absolutely love mine.

No Sultan love? Been spanking Elegys left-and-right on winding tracks.

IMO, the Elegy is only as popular as it is because of the Skyline/R34 fad.

At least where I live, everyone that's into JDM wants a f*cking Skyline.

just try different cars in a couple of races

see which one you like best and helps you win races

pick that one

not exactly rocket surgery

anyway IMO you should go for the carbon

The Elegy RH8 outshhines them all IMO. The handling and traction are key in GTAV, you never really get a chance to go for top speed so its really not that important.
