Has anyone ever really been busted?

As title says, just kinda curious if anyone has ever been busted by the cops? I know for a fact since I got the game, both in single player and online the cops have always shot me down instead of busting me. Never once been busted.

 

I know in the older titles it was rather common to get busted when running from the cops, theyd end up cornering me and rather than shooting me down, theyd pull me out of car or knock me down and id be busted.

 

Is this a feature that was removed from gta5 single and online? or is this something that just is a whole lot less seen because the cops are more aggressive and trigger happy?

Yes i was busted in Single player, but thats just because i wanted to see how it looks

I think in SP it's possible with 1 star but anything above they will just kill you on sight

and in MP they just kill you whenever you have a wanted level

Never been busted, just killed.

You can be arrested at only a one through three stars.

(1 on foot, 1-3 in vehicles --yes, if you stay still in a vehicle they will cease fire--)

 

If you try to run away from the LSPD while they have you in sight, the 1 star will increase to two.

I've been busted a few times in SP but not online, not sure if it's possible online since most cops shoot me down even when I'm on a one star, could be wrong though

I've also only been busted in SP. You lose ALL your ammo for ALL weapons when that happens. If I ever got busted in online I would immediately reset my console so that wouldn't happen

when you get busted in SP you lose ALL ammo... i think thats why its so rare now.

Mainly because the cops in this game will shoot you for f*ckin jaywalking.

You get busted by pulling over and getting out of the car without holding a weapon, holding a weapon will cause them to shoot you.

In the online if you have more than 2 stars you will be killed, or if you fired a weapon at all

I got busted just for going into the cop station as trevor (the one with the impound) and standing next to the cop at the front desk ,I had no weapons and all i did was push right D pad (talk/reply option) button, they then busted me? for what? GTA logic.

Nah, on sp i had one star and i wanted them to arrest me. I stood still in front of the cop and i was shot down lol

Yes, with Trevor. I was away from controller. I came back and suddenly they arrested me. Damn NPC's..Had to buy again ammo.

Getting busted does not happen online so people should stop lying about it. Test it anytime you want. Get one star for killing a pedestrian, put away weapon and stand still till cops come. You will be killed not arrested despite being unarmed and non-threatening. Single player they do arrest.

I was let off though as it wasn't classed as enough to supply.

Neither busted in SP or MP.

 

But I did get stuck in car, in a spot, in MP with one star. The cop pulled me out and just shot me. After that I figured MP "busted" is impossible.

I got busted on SP because I wanted to see if I went to the prison, because that's what I expected actually and it pissed me off that I murdered a man in front of police and punched an officer to the ground before they hit me to the ground and I was nicked (that's arrested, Americans.).

 

Then on multiplayer I crashed into a police car and as I tried to drive off I ran one down, he didn't die and they slaughtered me with a shotgun to the face. I didn't have time to aim either. They are crazy anyway. They show up in hordes of black suv's with men firing guns at you while hanging off the side. That's like drive-by 2.0, police don't do that rofl surely not? some f*cking madness they go through as well, even if it's something stupid. I barged one and he shot me in the back of the head 3 times and I died. Seriously? That is murder. People just carried on with their sh*t after watching a police officer slaughter a man in cold blood haha, some f*cked up place San Andreas is. They crash into me and then get out trying to shoot me to death when I was just driving and they went into the side of me. Really? The chief must give them steroids to make them enraged and ready to slaughter the population so they just go out and behave like animals probably. Wankers.

Only once. I was aggravated with the Cloud Servers during the first week or so at launch so when I spawned as Micheal at his home I through sticky bombs at his family while they were at the kitchen table took out the house maid and continued gunning down the police until I got upstairs. I then got the idea to take a hit from Jimmies bong so Micheal could wash away his demons and as I was doing so I hear several cops running up the stairs to where Micheal was and see 2 shotguns and 1 pistol being pointed at Micheal while he continued smoking the bong. Those officers kindly let Micheal finish off his hit before arresting him. or getting "Busted".

Yea, more than a few times. Mostly assault and other rabble-rousing... but never done 'hard time'.

when I was younger, all the time. From stealing at wal-mart (1st time) a MIB audio CD I opened and stuffed in my pants. I was so young and naive I could have just ran... but I pulled it outta my junk and handed it to the rentacop.


After that it was friends getting busted for stealing etc etc and a couple times I had some close calls (one where I became a bush and it f*cking worked) but then I got popped trying to steal some expensive stuff and had to do juvi time... sh*t was like school for criminals. I moved halfway through and did community service in Virginia.. that was even worse. Then I ended up at a school where dudes would cut each other and bring guns in daily. Va was great for High School...

So I "cleaned myself up" and joined the Army. 2 tours and one too many explosions later, I became a f*cking pirate with a peg leg. Now I don't have much else but free time and stay away from the cops and even though here at the beach there are signs that forbid my drunken slander in public... I manage to be a good drunk.
