Rockstar is finally on the right path with the V-day DLC

While they still haven't given us things that we want, like backpacks, gloves, Balaclava's ("Ski mask"), flamethrower, etc. They have finally given us suits which is something a lot of us have been wanting for a long time. Anyone else think that they are finally listening to us a bit more? (Seeing how Beach bum had nothing of value added)

They sure as hell not giving me what I want. I want more super cars, sports car, more rims, more chrome rims, more cars customization, more types of paint jobs, customized paint jobs, owning multiple properties and garages and to be able to use our own music as a radio channel.

I think the Beach Bum was nice, though i didn't use THAT much from BB anymore, but it was free & fun. Better as nothing!

I prefer shorts and flipflops than a damn suit.. I hate wearing f*cking suits tbh, I prefer the casual lifestyle. in RL and GTAO.

I agree that more of this content is of interest to me than the Beach Bum pack but that Bifta is not something to overlook, nothing beats it in off-road races. That Tommy Gun and Roosevelt on the other hand look badass and I've been waiting for decent suits for a while now (don't know why this mismatched mess we have now was ever seen as sufficient). I'm still left wondering when the f*ck heists are coming out (they could at least let us know what their progress/eta is, leaving us waiting in the dark is just rude), but I'll take what I can get and it's nice to see more worthwhile content is being added.

 

As nice as this Roosevelt looks though, why only one car and weapon? I think this is really a mini DLC, not even as big as the beach bum pack and not as big as the stuff they've got coming soon like the Dangerous Business DLC and the other stuff they've got in the works.

Yes, I am also excited about the new clothing options. However, I still want the god damn gas mask that's already in the mother ****ing GTA V game! That mask is amazing! Just add it in, damn you!

Ahem. Really though. They might as well throw in the rest of the GTA V cloths since they've already designed them and coded them. I can't imagine it would take much time at all to add them in.

We've long since tried the pimp and ho tandem but the prostitute gear the strippers wear like the thigh high boots and stockings/garters isnt available to players, the zoot suit and flapper will allow a nice bonnie n Clyde look especially with the Roosevelt.

Guess we'll have to wait a few weeks or so more to get new gameplay content though.

Obviously, opinions on the value of this and the BB pack are going to wildly vary, and I don't think my own will interest anybody else, so I'll save it. I will say, though, that it's great that they are adding something. It's a sign of life, if you will; which is good news certainly. Hopefully a sign that they've overcome the initial problems they created with the game and those thrown at them from hackers/glitchers and can now actually move forward with this project. I hope it is a good sign of (hopefully) good or even great things to come for those of you who always advise patience and practice it. As a dedicated gamer myself, I sincerely hope you are rewarded for it.

Personally, though, I find this DLC to be on th insignificant side, though not completely without value. I am aware of it being free; I'm speaking more of it's impact on the game itself. I guess I was expecting that when more DLC hit the scene after all the ups and downs of the games initial problems, that it would have, I don't know, a little more meat on its bones. But, perhaps they are simply starting out small and will build from there. I'm just not convinced yet that they are, can, or will deliver on the "persistant and constantly updating world" they advertised pre-launch.

I know you are using hyperbole to make a point, but I really don't think asking for actual new content that is more than cosmetic is asking a lot.

 

The entire Beach Bum Pack was junk except for one vehicle and a new Survival. It didn't add to the experience.

 

Capture mode ended up failing because everyone was more interested in the simultaneously released Race and DM creator. And the Race and DM creator is users creating content, not Rockstar. Anyways, 95% of user created DMs and races are trash.

 

It's been 5 months since release . . . it would nice to have something that gives us an actual new experience in the game (more cloths and a new car don't count).

 

I love this game very much, but I also completely understand why people are running out of patience.
