Why all the derp about heists?

Everyone is complaining about how the game sucks, how they nerfed payouts, took all our money, bla bla bla. Yet in the same breath "GIVE US f*ckING HEISTS!" to internet levels of retardation.

 

Why does anyone even believe heists will A) Work properly, B) Pay properly, C) Not get nerfed D) not get glitched then disabled almost right away?

 

Is there some thinking that heists are going to make people millionaires again like story mode? Seriously? You all believe R* is pushing cash cards over everything else. If that's the case you won't get sh*t from the heists.

Hope for the best, expect the worst is how i'm approaching heists.. If people want to hype them up to be way more than what they'll be, that's their loss.. Sadly, we'll all hear about it.

I'm not hyping up like crazy for the heists cos I know if I do, I'll just set myself up for diss appointment if they don't reach my/our expectations, just look how berserk people went when GTA O was released because they overhyped it and it's their fault not R*s

as i've said (at horrific length) elsewhere...

 

I think the cash hacking/gifting and glitching has made the game feel hollower than it might otherwise have for many players, and that as one of the key features advertised, completing the product will fix the product.

 

 

problem is it won't, it will pay an amount appropriate to the game unglitched like everything else, (which i'm happy with personally)

 

The thing people should be far more concerned with is the job lobby system as it stands, how broken it is. that really needs fixing first. and apart from that, if it's actually deemed to be fine by rockstar, I don't have any hope for how we'll be organising heists.

At the absolute maximum, I'm expecting to get 50k from a level 120 heist, and only having the ability to do one like once a week. Couldn't imagine them giving us like 50k everyday...

Hype and disappointment is natural, if you don't ever get excited or disappointed then i don't believe that. Now there's obviously extents to both of those, but it's still natural for the most part. Not sure why you're surprised in a game's community of all things, sh*t's been going around for years and years.

personally I would just like some new content to play because I'm kind of tired of messing around in free roam

I think people see them as the saving grace (which I don't believe is needed in this game because it's still a wonderful experience). Unfortunately, those people will be let down when they aren't easy, take a long time, and the payout is a few pennies short of a billion.

 

My opinion: they will be fun, they will be difficult, they won't be an instant cureall to revenue problems, and people will ultimately be let down not by Rockstar over promising, but rather their own personal expectations being too lofty.

Cars, gunfights, stealing vehicles, shooting down planes. It's really, really well made.

I agree, way too much hype over heists. They are going to be just like regular missions.

Pay is going to be disappointing, there is no way heists are going to be paying in the 100Ks let alone the millions. Lucky to get 50K if that i say.

I presented a random 4 recurring issue list that other missions/game play mechanics have experienced when being released. It's not all inclusive or even opinion related for that matter. a lot of your "arguments" seem to be centered about the money aspect, I'll have to admit there was some assumption on my part but going by what you wrote I'd say it was an educated geuss as opposed to wild speculation or something

 

1b. well good for you but that's not exactly what one would think after reading your post, the negativity of the whole thing would make it seem you care more than a rats ass at the very least (why bother with making a topic basically complaining if you don't care?)

right there you literally say every1 is saying A: "the game sucks, how they nerfed payouts, took all our money, bla bla bla" while in the same breath saying B: "GIVE US f*ckING HEISTS!"

 

if we break down that sentence it's clear the only subject in it is "every1" and "every1" is clearly saying both A and B

and moreover "every1" does so in the same breath ( implying "every1" being the same person/people)

and while both statements are not exactly contradictory in themselves one could infer from your qeustion that they are

cuz why would any1 want heists for a game that sucks and is plagued by problems?

I still want them to come out cause GTA O has become dreadfully boring and anything new will be a fun change.

 

The thing I'm hyped for is mission creator myself.

Exactly. Nothing has created more immersion and fun than that mission.

Wrong attitude, just be positive. Know that they will be a fun addition, and hope for more good content down the road. They will not be the be all end all of this game, but they will be fun.

At this point, they've set a standard bar of quality of this for game. I don't ever expect anything R* does in the foreseeable future to not be up to REAL standards and either be broken in some way, or ruin another part of the game. That said, the least that R* could do is give us the rest of the content they advertised for being willing to play this less than perfect game.

 

I've done so much in GTA O and yet there's really no variety to it. Anything new > nothing at all. Even if it's flawed.
