kk.
Before I start I want to say, that I'm not joking. I live in a small village and we have a small warehouse next to our house and my cat lives in it. So one day, I found a dead cat behind that warehouse. I told my mom about it, but she said, that I shouldn't care about it. One week later, I was going to bring my cat some meat, that my little brother didn't ate. I called him, but he didn't came, I started looking for him and I found him behind a warehouse eating the same dead cat. I started yelling at him, and he was scared as sh*t of my yelling and ran away. Few seconds later, I grabbed him and took him to the warehouse. I showed him, that I'm giving him meat. He smelled it and just stood there. I took the cat he ate and threw it in the neighbour's lawn. Later that day I checked on him and he was still f*cking eating that cat, I just gave up and told my mom about it. What should I do? Is he becoming a cannibal? Oh and sorry for mistakes, my computer screen is half-broken. SonofYankton
Voodoo
I think you should feed him more often. Cats go feral pretty quick, You can hardly blame him and he isn't going to respond to scolding. iainspad and WBaker
Meekail
I live in a small country in a small island, and in here, there are cows eating dead cows. Seriously. OT: If your cat loves eating that same dead cat, then so be it. It's probably better if it becomes a cannibal. That is what I would do anyway since I'm obviously a G Rated Idiot. Jimmy_Leppard
That's not the weirdest sh*t about cats I've heard. Actually, right about now, I believe that most of the cats eat each other. About a month ago, my friend's cat gave birth to several little kitties and ate almost every one of them the next morning. My friend and his parents were stunned. I was stunned when he told me that also, so, what you just wrote is not weird to me at all. You should just be careful not to let that cat lick you or lick the plate or something you eat from, I'm not sure how healthy that would be. I mean, the cat was eating another dead cat. I'd assume you could catch a disease by letting that same cat lick anything you use after what she did.

We always let him in our house at night, so I don't think he's going feral. @Jimmy_Leppard Female cats eat their kittens if they feel, that they won't survive for long, but my cat is male and that one wasn't his kitten for sure. Oh and I don't let him eat from my plate. Edited February 12, 2014 by Syndrome

Gnocchi Flip Flops
Why is this such a big issue? Dogs lick their Johnsons, what about that?In what way is that bizarre. But anyways I have 2 cats that are sister and brother, and they stay inside. I would never let them outside without me watching them. BTW: That cat eating kitten story is gross as f*ck. Harley
Maybe he likes the warehouse spot and wanted to get rid of the corpse so it wouldn't attract predators.

Jimmy_Leppard
Why is this such a big issue? Dogs lick their Johnsons, what about that? A dog may lick his ''Johnson'', but I'm sure a dog doesn't stick that same ''Johnson'' in another dead animal, damnit.

Eating your fellow race (at least when it comes to animals) isn't a big issue at all. Happens around here quite often.
Display_0
Probably didn't want the meat to go the waste. That would be disastrous in the wild. As long as it doesn't actively seek out other Cats to eat them, there shouldn't be too much concern. Cat's usually seek out birds and mice. kk.
I don't think this is a territorial thing, because I wrote somewhere above, that I throw the dead cat to the neighbour's lawn ( ) and he still went and ate it there. Oh well, it doesn't matter anymore, because my dad got rid of that cat's corpse and he won't finish eating it. But still... He could have infected himself by a dangerous desease. Who knows why that cat died? Edited February 12, 2014 by Syndrome

Creed Bratton
Your cat is in the cat mafia. That's how they dispose of snitches. But that's nothing. You should see what they do to those who refuse to pay for protection.
iainspad
As depressing as this story is, I think this is only natural. Your cat was probably just very starving, and that's not saying you're a bad cat owner, but I'd take yours to the nearest vet and get it checked over in case there's something wrong cannibalising another cat. I'd also feed it a bit more, just in case it isn't being fed enough. It's just its natural method of survival, and while I don't approve of it it's a bit understanding. As with the kitten story above, it's natural for their mothers to cannibalise the weak and ill, which is potentially why it ate the kittens, as well as if the litter is overwhelming. I believe lions do this to their cubs as well, it's nature. Sad, but true. Justin..
