How do you deal with cops in freemode?

I talking about in the middle of a shootout with another player. I actually enjoy the cops presence, it adds to the complexity and keeps you on your toes. I personally try to kill as little as possible so that I don't get too many stars, and will just keep moving out of their sight.

 

But once you get smart with them, you can position them in between you and the guy you are in a shootout with. If you get the angles right, he will start locking on and shooting the cops instead of you most of the time, putting the attention on him. You can then get the gaps right and take him out. Works most of the time anyway.

 

So do you guys just pile up loads of cops and fire at pretty much everything, or just call lester and run like a man?

cops can be annoying at times. I get into a simple fender bender with a cop and they immediately get out of their car and start shooting me, wtf?

I will try and give a better example of what I mean.

 

I was once in this shootout with a player who knew how to move across the the northern part of Rockford. I would do so in lines that would bend past me and most of the time I couldn't get a clear shot, he would jump out every time I thought I was vulnerable and move at a pace I could never match.

 

Every time he killed me the kill camera would show his legs dancing back and forth in a hypnotic way, it was like he was dancing on my field of view. The more I tried to get back up he would press back down on me and stare at me with those sunglasses. I started to wander if I had ever given someone that same look, and if what he saw was me. We stared at each other for a while before he broke away and next thing I know im staring at those legs of his running across the screen in such a state that seemed to antagonize my waking moment.

 

I thought enough was enough I was going to bend out of the game and come at him from a different approach, but by then he was doing the same thing and was pressing down in my spine. The air between us compressed as the cops circled in on me, my car now impounded and the menu was extremely sluggish. I tried to remove the wanted level but I kept calling lamar instead, and my the time I could navigate through the options he would be pinning me down with his car. I tried to get up but he had a friend in the car who would shoot at me as they slowly made sure I couldn't get out of the checkmate position. I knew at that point I should have left but it seemed like downwards was the only direction that felt right. The ping in the air levitated a bit and I felt this groggy sensation in my head, all of my cars had been removed from my garage and the other players in the room were looking at me with frightening recognition.

 

And then just like that the tides had turned and both players were face down into the game, compleltely removed by the cops. The cops bent over and penetrated him deep, suddenly hordes of cops were now on top of them, they just kept on coming. At least 20 cops were now piled over their bodies and were beating and shooting their dead corpeses. Many cops were falling over each other to get to the pile, it was completely surreal. I died several times from stray bullets as they began to fire randomly at into the air, at one point 12 of them penetrated dead bodies with their flesh alone, 3 of them were pinned down on their backs rolling around in the bodies, another kept on firing his shotgun into the mix.

 

At this point I tried to get out of the crowd but it was no use, two of them were no hanging on the edge of a van that was ramming through everyone, two other vans were grinding against each other trying to get to the bodies while other police cars were doing burnouts right in the very middle of it. At this point a helicopter hurled from the sky and crashed into the mix, killing most people. More and more helicopters arrive, most hit each other in mid air and never got close to the scene. Another helicopter started to unload SWAT into the mix but by then it descended into them before they could touch the ground and exploded into a fiery wreck.

 

I don't think the other players spawned for a while after that.

I didnt read the second part, but i merely lose the 5-0 of mow them AND the opposing player forces with my minigun

Cops can be a good distraction, even better if the other player isn't using smart cover

So you generally just try and lose them first, or do you destroy them with the minigun?
