When you switch to a SP character via the wheel, then press B or Triangle? to cancel, you get 5 seconds of invincibility.

They didn't do it all the time though, and that was their respawning mistake.

This happened to me today; and I had no idea wtf happened!

 

Some douche was sitting on a roof shooting at people, so snuck up there and started laying into him with my fists. He couldn't fight back or anything so I was pummelling him on the edge of the roof (looked really cool). Thing is this went for a good 2 minutes and he still wouldn't die (was flashing).

No it is as widespread as ever and getting worse since some people decided they should post online how to do it.

 

You can run them over though. Their mobility is very hampered when they do the glitch.

if u have a tank they are easy to kill dispite being temp god mode the tank blast still knocks them over,and u can only active the glitch while standing.so u knock them down an sit on them with the tank.same way i use to deal with the dns godmode pussys back in the day.if there in a tank best to sniper them instead

i give up, every lobby ive been in the past few days have been filled with absolute retards, shooting at my plane just for flying over them, rockets, miniguns, everything flying at me for no reason

people killing for no reason

people driving by with sticky bombs being thrown at you, for no reason

 

kill them, they respawn to immediately use an auto shotgun or RPG

 

then returns the adder, to drive to a tank only to come back flashing

 

i giiiiveeeeeee up, this game is dead thanks to a tie between the community and rockstars incompetence

in a deathmatch someone was doing it constantly so i used the report feature (like as if r* will do anything anyway)and voted to kick. then saw his mate was doing it too but couldn't do anything against him because r* didn't think there would be a need to report more than one person wtf?

Yea, it's much more effective when they are in a vehicle. I saw a guy doing it a few days ago. I could kill him on foot with a rocket, but when he got a car, there was nothing I could do. Saw a guy doing it in a jet before also. Missiles would not stay locked, and machine guns would not work. I ended up shooting at him with the guns for more than 5 seconds, and finally destroyed him when he solidified, but you can see how this will really make a good jet pilot invincible.

I use it to evade pricks who really are obsessed with killing the guy who's riding a bicycle.

 

Passive mode doesn't really send enough of a "leave me the hell alone" thing. They see me blinking and they avoid me like a plague. Thank God.

 

But I'm cool with it getting fixed. Either:

 

1. Remove the ask prompt.

2. Remove the Character wheel but put Invite Only, Solo Session, etc. in the Online tab.
