What are your favorites ways to snipe snipers?

It seems like every few weeks I find a new activity to amuse myself with in freemode. At first it was missions, deathmatches, races, etc. Then it was setting sticky bomb traps. Currently my new favorite thing to do is find snipers and snipe them myself. When I spawn in my apartment the first thing I do is check the map to see who has a bounty. Then I go to the TV to see if any of the people with bounties are snipers. If not, I just cycle through whoever is in the lobby and see if any of them are on roofs sniping other players. Once I find a sniper I use the different camera modes (plus the map) to figure out where they are. I call for a chopper and have Lester take me off the radar when I start getting close. If they don't see me landing on a rooftop near them then It's pretty fun to nail them with a headshot while they're busy looking down at the ground through their scope for other players. The reactions I've heard over the headset are priceless.

 

So that's the way I do it. Obviously if I'm sniped from the ground by somebody I already know what building they're on so the process is a lot quicker. Do any of you have any other methods/tactics for sniping snipers? RPGs just aren't as fun for me personally...

That or I use Lester and hide behind a wall in a residential area just outside of downtown.

I saw 3 blips on the map altogether and noticed they were on a rooftop sniping noobs at the impound lot.

So I called in for a chopper, went of Radar, hovered close to their building and parachuted right behind them (on same rooftop).

It was tempting to sticky bomb the whole place but instead I called in for an airstrike. I jumped off the building and watched them blow up while I dove into the gangta streets of LS. FUN! Unfortunately haven't had the chance to make it happen again.

I do something similar, but rarely run into other snipers on the rooftops these days. The most recent was a bounty sitting on a highrise (south east of LSC / northwest corner of downtown) rooftop in a tank who was sniping and damn good at it. When someone would get too close to him in a chopper, he'd shoot them down with a tank. He got me a few times on the ground, but I finally got him out of his perch when I went off radar and landed on the Maze building and sniped him out of the tank.

 

As many times as I've sniped someone on Tinsel Tower from Eclipse Tower, I have been caught with tunnel vision and not paying attention to my six a few times.

A good sniper is aware of their surroundings at all times; aware of the other sniping spots around them.

Take the roof of Tinsel Towers for example. The only place to be hit while up there really is that big yellow crane, or the building next to the crane. Good luck trying to sneak onto the roof with a heli. Can't see you, but you can still be heard.

I snipe the snipers by sniping them with a chrome Karin Snipe while sniping the sniper with the sniper snipe.

Good luck to snipe me. I'm changing positions after every 2-3 kills with buzzard. If Buzzard is destroyed, what happens often, mostly because people like to shot buzzard trying to hit me, I'm parachuting in passive to the safe location, calling mechanic and getting another buzzard. Sometimes when I'm lazy i just teleport. And my buzzard is always rigged with sticky in case of hot extraction on parachute, i just blow it and calling for another.

 

I'm sniping last couple of weeks and my KD is now 3.998, was counter-sniped last time maybe 2-3 days ago because went full retard.

And btw, its better to snipe vehicles: more challenging and you're invisible because of the distance. Tanks are sweeties.

There was a sniper not far from where I was on top of a medium sized building. After he sniped me, I used Lester to go off the grid, and ran up to the side of the building. I pulled out my grenade launcher and let a few fly up to the top of the building, while staying to close to the side for him to snipe me. Oh, the cursing that came after the dust settled. A few other players went after him once he spawned on the ground. I left them to it and went on my way.

Not even close. I'm using free aim when shooting moving targets from serious distances, I'm not spawn-killing anybody except tankers. If somebody is upset from one kill and going after me - his problems, not mine. Not interested in "who's faster at pushing triggers on controller auto aim retard challenge". He can scope me, but not in that retarded auto-aim. And yes, I tried free-aim lobbies: not crowded and no tankers (almost). And btw, I'm not using auto-aim to lock on people's helis because only shooting from heavy or mini gun.

Definitely sounds like a fun challenge. Are you on PS3 or Xbox?

 

Edit: Nevermind I just saw your sig that says Xbox. I'm on PS3, if any snipers out there want to PM me their user IDs I'd love to set up a lobby of just snipers and those who hunt them.
