Crew Sessions?

I load up story mode, go to the online tab and I see the option for "Crew Sessions" with the ability to chose how many other crews to play with "2,3 or 4". I've selected all three options numerous times and I've need been put into a lobby, it just spawns me by myself. I just want to know why? I'm in a crew. Xbox GT: Edible Clips | Crew: Bird Syndicate

anytime you choose a non public lobby you become the "host."

 

Closed Crew Session: only members of your crew can join your lobby, by invite, or "join crew members"

 

if you're looking for crew mates to play with, select "join crew members" when going online

Could you be a little more specific? What do you mean by when I select "anytime"? How do I know I'm choosing a non public lobby? It doesn't give me any of those options? It just ask me how many crews to play with, let's say I select 3 and it loads up and spawns me by myself

when you select "Online" you'll have the option to Join Friends (public/private), Join Crew Members (public/private) or Play GTA Online.

 

from "Play GTA Online" your options are Go (public lobby), Invite Only, Crew Session, Closed Crew, ect.

Alright I understand that, but I click on "Play GTA Online" then I click on "Crew Sessions" then it asks me how many crews I would like to play with, I have the option to select 2, 3 or 4 other crews to play with, let's say I click 3 crews to play with and I start it up, it spawns me by myself, why?

One time it put me with one other person(no idea how it works). One of my crews is pretty big so I guess it could've been from there but I assumed it was a random. I'm still not sure. 99.9% I'm by myself when I pick that option

Isn't this like "Crew Wars"?

You select Crew Session and then you have a private game where two, three or four crews can compete without getting disturbed by other random players?

If so, you could do some pretty cool 8on8 crew wars throughout the whole map, or 4on4on4 and so on.

When you select the Crew option that allows you to set the number of crews for that session, when it works correctly a search happens and looks for another session with the same settings (You picked 3) during the search if another lobby is found with only two crews in it at that time, then you SHOULD be placed in it...if the search finds nothing then it starts a new session with you only and waits for other players to do a crew session with 3 (the search i reference is done by the servers based on your input) ....

 

I have never had it to work myself, which leaves me to believe either the feature is broken, or no one is using it

I have friends in various crews and it doesn't work for them either.

 

Yes, crew battles, it sounds fun!

 

I see, I also came to the conclusion that that feature is not up and running yet, but it's all good as long as the heists come out. Back in Decemeber Rockstar released a statement saying they were "finishing" the heist i.e checking for bugs and glitches, but who knows lol

You have to invite them. It's like a crew-only session. Only your crew members are allowed to join the game.
