I have killed a few innocent players due to thinking they were the guy who just blew my sh*t up a minute ago. I always try to send a message explaining the accident lol

i try to stop it by using the 'highlight player' option, but then they flash like a player who's just killed someone. and players can highlight themselves to make their own dots flash...

 

...very confusing, especially when you're busy looking over your shoulder too.

I think I'm done with my one griefing experiment, I don't understand how people get joy out of it.

 

In all honesty, you get more out of the game as far as an experience value when you don't grief.

Like don't trip, "I get it.." griefing can be hard to NOT do at times but It also makes the provoked altercations more worth wild imo when you don't take part.

 

Feel like R* set it up like that though, making decisions that can impact in a really big and enjoyable matter, and some that make you feel like you're an absolute loser.

It was kind of/sort of accidental. Kind of like a twitch reaction. I felt horrible seeing the missile speed away. I knew instantly what I had done.

i've done this. then sent a text to claim it was an accident. more than once.

I also like jacking cars until I get a bounty, then head out in the open world. No questions before or after the shooting that way.

What is up with the amount of dudes with low testosterone on this forum? It's a game, slaughter everyone you see.

Why does everyone who doesn't want to "slaughter" everyone automatically tagged a pussy, or someone with low testosterone? Yeah R* gives you guns, mercs, and other tools of destruction but who says you have you use it to grief people?

 

I've used my Adder to speed some random guy with a bounty away from 4 guys trying to take his head off. I sent him a message "Dude need a ride out of here?" He replied "Yeah!" and I helped him get away and No I didn't blow his head off once we got to his apartment area. I just gave him a salute and rolled off.

 

There are other ways to play the game besides being a murdering psycho.

Is there really though? Outside of playing with people I actually know, I find the majority of players extremely irritating and 99% of the time I'm shot at for no reason, why would I help anyone?

haha, no seriously, I felt really bad for blowing up their sh*t. It seemed like they had this well planned thing going on, a Titan, ATV in the back, a stunt plane. They were trying to have fun doing other things than being a complete psychopath, shooting up everyone and everything they can get a bead on.

 

If they had killed me a few times, I would actually have felt better. The fact that one of their crew laughed it off as good fun made me feel worse.

Anyway OP I understand where you are coming from. Had a similar predicament last night. Flying over the airport in the Annihilator and there was a few people taking off minding their own business in the Titan. They flew up right in front of me. I didn't feel right in doing it but I just had to shoot at them. Luckily im crap with the guns on choppers so they ended up getting away. It was smoking a bit. I felt a little conflicted. Bad I shot unarmed players but dissapointed I didn't kill em.

If i have no friends on at the time of starting the game i go straight to hills and jack every expensive ride i see until i hopefully get a 9k bounty, its fun when they can't get you and start fighting amongst themselves, and if they do fair play to them.

Don't feel bad OP, if they were "setting something up" and might get butthurt about the BOOM, they should have been in a IO session. Whenever me and 15 of my closest friends are trying something specific, we go to an IO session. If that happened to us in an open lobby, like the folks you ran into, we'd have a good laugh about it.

 

On the other hand, probably good that you stopped there and sent a message. I am pretty sure the folks I hang with (mostly over LVL100) would have chased U down for good measure. I don't stress about anything in an open FM lobby. Mayhem is the name of the game. Peeps that don't want to play like dat, need to get a private one IMO.

 

Do I wander FM lookin' fer toruble? Naw... that got old. Will I scrap it out with anyone that wants to come git some? You fckn bet. It's fun. It's part of the game (not the entire game).

ya you would have spawn killed all 5 of them... They wouldnt stand a chance against you 5v1. Even though you cant lock onto players from the buzzard you are just that good.
