Lol at this dude, some of the most popular games out there are centered entirely on killing other online players. If people are getting so seriously upset about getting killed in a video game then I think they are the ones with the problem. If someone kills me in GTA I laugh it off, because guess what? It's usually pretty funny to me anyway. Maybe the people who get so upset over getting killed are the ones with the Ego problem.

 

But GtaOnline isn't "centered" on killing other players. That is why there are other activities to do in free-roam so you don't have to kill other players to have fun. That is a fact.

 

We just have different opinions and unfortunately when our opinion is expressed the trolls crawl from their caves to talk smack on how we are pu$$ies LULZ.

most of the activities are instanced and take you out of free roam

so according to your logic free roam is nothing more than a fancy lobby screen or something

than why do we even have guns in free roam? or all the contact options in our Phone to interact with other players? (bounties mercs mugger etc)

the game even promotes the killing of players by placing bounties on them

 

the only thing about free roam that is a fact is that it's FREE (hence the name)

any1 is free to do whatever they want within the game mechanics

which most definitely includes the killing of other players

and if you can't handle that perhaps invite only or solo session is the place for you

 

I agree that any1 randomly spawnkilling people for hours on end is an asshole and might have some mental problems

but within this game you're free to do so, and that is a fact!

Whether or not they're trolling/griefing/really good at killing you/whatever you want to call it... It's not fun when the other guy has a negative attitude or starts taking their gamer pride way too seriously.

For me personally my issues have less to do with actually "griefing" and more to do with having to interact with angry, stupid gamers. Win or lose, cheap or fair, they are f*cking irritating and not worth spending my time gaming with.

I've used my Adder to speed some random guy with a bounty away from 4 guys trying to take his head off. I sent him a message "Dude need a ride out of here?" He replied "Yeah!" and I helped him get away and No I didn't blow his head off once we got to his apartment area. I just gave him a salute and rolled off.

 

There are other ways to play the game besides being a murdering psycho.

I can agree that chasing after someone who you just killed for fun is in bad taste, but it's fun when you find a playmate who comes back of their own free will.

For others, it's more about having fun with friends or just driving around. Short of straight up hacking, there's no wrong way of playing, IMO.

 

Personally I can do any of those things and still manage to be entertained. The only thing that gets me are the people on here (not you) who talk about the 'right' way of playing the game.
