Converting GTA V cars to IV?

Hello. As I seen on some sites, there are some V cars to IV. I need a tutorial about how to convert GTA V cars to IV. Only what I know is: Import the gta v car model to zmodeler and convert it, but I don't converted any car in past. Help please :) .

Well, as I'm also converting GTA V models too, I give you some simple step-by-step:

 

1. Rip the vehicle.rpf files from GTA V (you can ask some modders for it).

2. Open the vehicle.rpf file with LibertyV (you need to have either X360 or PS3 key depend on which console you rip the vehicles file from).

3. Extract your vehicles of choice (both .xft and .xtd). There are two .xft files for each car (regular and _hi), extract both, 'cause you need both for L0 (_hi) and L1 (regular). For .xft, I recommend rip the _hi part.

4. For texture: open the texture file with GTA V Console Texture Editor. Export all of the necessary texture, and convert it from .dds into .png

5. For model: open it with either Zmod or 3Ds Max, detach and attach all the necessary parts (like doors, chassis, lights, etc).

6. Import/merge the V model with any of IV cars of your choice. Replace all the parts with your V cars parts.

7. Because the V car models doesn't have any wheels. You can use the existing IV cars wheels or using the one from V.

8. Adjust the dummies, collision models, and textures.

9. Export it in .wft and .wtd format.

10. Done!

I need some help from step 5 to 8. In the videos is showing step 5 with 3DS and I want to make it with Zmod 2. Maybe you can help me with these steps :)

I use Zmodeler 2.2.6 ,but i dont open .xft files , why ?

 

I use this version for IV or other.

 

Zmodeler dont support xft files ?

I think it doesn't support the file format. Maybe with ZModeler 3 is working?

i think , just 3dsmax support .xft format.

 

I wanted to test the conversion of a vehicle V to IV, but I feel this is top secret when I ask the question, but it does not matter, there are enough people who cares

Almost forgot, convert the .xft files to .obj with xdr2obj. Then, open it wih either 3ds Max or Zmod.

Yeah. Got a model and textures converted to obj and dds. But the model hasn't any part, just the car with all parts attached to it. How can I cut parts?

Nope, I got it from a modder. I think xdr2obj is a app or something...

Could you please explain how you are suppose to convert an .XFT to .OBJ using xdr2obj?

 

Every time I run the program and select a .XFT it results in crashing. Is there an addition piece of code that I need or am I just doing something wrong?

Hey,

 

Today i tried to convert the *.xft to *.obj using xdr2obj, but xdr2obj keeps crashing when i try to convert 'ambulance_hi.xft' to 'ambulance_hi.obj'.

 

How can i fix this?

There's a specific settings on xdr2obj that can convert .xft files to .obj.

Vehicles.rpf is in part1.rpf/levels/gta5 from the 545408A700000001 file on DVD 1

luis95, you can open the program Libertyv-r47, as PUSH will choose to export, then need a program ZModeler3

bundi2408, hi, where to find the disk GTA V XFT and STD??please tutorial what to do and how well?

all vehicle files are in gta v disk 1 , you need to have an iso image of that, then explore and export it's files. do u know how to export files from xbox disks?

EDIT: I managed to open it.

 

EDIT2: OK, now I have another problem, I can't find the wdr2obj program, can someone help me with this?
