You forgot the option:

• Go into Passive Mode, stand on highway barrier beside other player and perform Jerk action while other player expels $7813 worth of ammo and finally leaves.

This is applicable whether you're the approaching player or the one being approached.

Depends what mood I'm in. I'm usually peaceful but sometimes a bad mood means bad news. I gotta be pretty pissed to blow up a PV though, hate paying others' deductibles

Try and guess which side of the road they're speeding down to avoid a head-on collision. Believe me, a lot of players are more willing to start a firefight when both your cars have stopped than you'd want. You have to make sure your car's door is facing away from them so you have cover. Still fun, not preferable.

I like to be cautious as I never can be too sure what another player will do, some drive past, some shoot to kill and some insist I join them in robbing stores.

 

I like to send a clear message by having no guns out and myself next to my vehicle giving the vibe im friendly.

 

If they aim a gun or act hostile in any form I shoot to kill and drive away.

I put my guns away so they know I don't want any trouble. But of course 99.99% of the time I get a cap in my ass.

I honk my horn to try and start an impromtu race. A key, fun, free-roam feature that is sadly un-used by the majority of the population.

Yesterday I was following a couple guys in an Annihilator. They just kept driving around and I was following them. Then like a bunch of other guys showed up in their cars and grouped up on this overpass, and then went their separate ways. I decided to pick 1 car at random and follow them. Seemed they wanted to get a helicopter too, so they went to the airport, but had a wanted level. I thought I'd help by shooting the cops around so they can get a heli. Turns out both of them are trigger happy kids with dirty mouths. One of them was rank 143 or something, and shot me down with a rocket launcher.

 

I didn't take to that very kindly, especially when they kept killing me afterwards for no reason. I messaged a buddy of mine to help me get them back.

Anyway, what followed after that turned out to be the most fun I've ever had in GTA Online.

I would shoot him to be honest. I wouldn't get out of my car, I'd just shoot from my car and hope that he gets splattered before knowing that he's being shot at lol. The best kills I do are the surprise ones. *Guy is driving down the road* -> *he hears gun fire and stops his car to take a look* -> *he is dead and cries out 'whaaa daaa faaaaaack!?' down his mic as I drive off laughing my head off.

This is pretty much every time I go on free roam.

 

Oh a revelation happened today though!

This guy approached me slowly honking his horn and I had my gun ready of course but he didn't try anything, he just circled around me a little bit and then drove off and I didn't shoot him down. I was like 'This is the first time I have spared somebody'. I am very happy with myself.

Follow. I love following people around--it makes them nervous. It's fun to watch all the silly maneuvers they'll try to get away, only to smash into a car or a wall, then I just stop right behind them and wait patiently... until they decide to shoot, which they almost always do. Then I kill them and carry on.

If I am in my car I will keep driving and honk two short beeps as we pass if he has not started shooting. If he does start shooting I will drive evasively and keep moving. In either scenario I will watch to see if they follow. If they do I turn the driver door away from them stop in the middle of the street, get out, take cover behind car and execute them as they aproach...then hop back in and drive away.

 

If I am on foot I look for cover, aim and track them as they pass...if they shoot I pull trigger. If they don't I let them pass and continue walking. If they make the mistake of turning around...see above response. On the off chance they were coming back to be freindly, I dont need new freinds.

I usually just go the other way. If he follows me after a couple of turns, I get out and defend myself.

Mostly I either go about my business or try to be friendly with them and follow them around as best I can. If they kill me, I'll either avenge myself or just go away to save the time, energy, and ammo.
