iNero
Beta's for consoles are pretty much nothing but crowdpleasers/demos. They serve no real serious purpose. PC gaming has a need of betas because the plethora of unique PC machine builds there are and all the possible errors that could occur on all these different platforms and what it could be the problem for. That being said: I still believe delivering a buggy/shoddy console game shows the quality of a developer. On PC on the other hand I can believe the whole process of delivering a rather unstable product and having to fix it. /sidetrack lol. How were Betas crowdpleasers?! They help a lot with the balancing and bug fixing. There are no Betas anymore. EA calls it Beta 4 weeks before release, while its just a Demo of the Game in Beta Stage. Most of the real bugfixing and balancing gets done ages before. And you should read what I said.... the entire post. Betas as we have seen them for popular FPS games these last years are nothing but glorified demos. Thats why BF has gamebreaking bugs in it? The last one which gives you a deathshield which makes you invulnerable. Or an awful netcode... all of this could have been discovered and fixed way before release with a beta and not just internal playtests.
Mista J
So how is that a 3 year development cycle? Do you even realize what you're saying? All COD's are being developed only for one year, and each team releases their game every year over a period of 3 years only because they are seperate developments. It's not a 3 year development period, it's a one year period for each game. Each team releases their game the year after the previous one. So they have more development time. Black ops 2 was released in 2012 by treyarch. 2013 ghost by IW and 2014 advanced warfare by sledgehammer. So 2015 is for treyarch again. Do you think they only start making a new cod when the other one is finished?what are treyarch and IW doing when sledgehammer is making cod AW? Jacking off? That's 3 years dev time. Is it that hard to understand? Seriously, have you ever been to school and done some maths? It is ONE year dev time on EACH game. Three on ALL games put together. You are confusing yourself. It literally is not making any difference whatsoever because EACH game will still be developed in one year It all depends on how soon they start working on the game after they finished the one they just released. Lets say Treyarch started working on BO as soon as they finished WAW, they would have the year that WAW has, plus the year MW2 was released. It would give them two years to work on the game. So if IW, 3arch, and Sledgehammer all develop their own game it would actually give them 3 years to work on it. Only if they start working on their next game soon after release of their previous one. Sunrise Driver
Future conflicts again???? Jeezf**k. And you call this original new experience. Recent REAL conflicts saved Black Ops 2 from being complete crap. With 100% of made up future conflicts (and weapons and gear) AW is set to be doomed. Frank Brown
You know, I didn't think they'd be unoriginal and make Kevin Spacey look just like Kevin Spacey in game and would instead give him a new model.

Mr. Scratch
I'm not going to lie, I actually like this so far, mech suits and parkour is something new. Then again I also liked BO2, maybe it was all the futuristic weapons and gadgets.

Chris Fromage
Here are some (possible) locations I noticed from the trailer. A building in detroit (I got this one from a video on YouTube. Logo is on the top right) Seattle? The flag of Nigeria so I guess this is a city in Nigeria. Flag of Greece. iNero

Mista J
3 years gives the devs a bit more room to breathe and not rush anything. Hopefully this means they'll balance everything better. Edited May 4, 2014 by DarthShinobi

Frank Brown
why would you even use a different model? the reason they used spacey is because he is a mega star and will attract more players. I dont know if thats good as it could make the game even more arcady and casual... I don't know if this is true. A lot of the CoD players probably don't even know who he is.
