My 1st tank kill ever!

The key with sniping tanks, even with the standard sniper rifle (all I have) is to just get far away! Too close and it's ineffective, get farther away and it works a lot better!

 

I've had much satisfaction killing tanks but the other day had a lovely moment when I was landing my Frogger near a clothes store on Route 68 and two guys outside started machine-gunning me, I managed to avoid getting killed and land on the roof. As they sped away on an Akuma I got out the sniper rifle, first shot took out the driver around 250 yards away, bike stopped and passenger stayed on the seat as I took him out with the second shot as soon as the gun allowed. Good times.

Lol I had a very similar experience only when I shot at the bike both players died instantly and I was using a normal sniper rifle. I laughed HARD.

 

1 shot, 2 kills

 

And yes with the normal rifle distance is key when combating a tank. I have yet to unlock the heavy rifle but that hasn't stopped me from constantly hunting those damn tanks...

Honestly I would say 99% of the tank drivers I've sniped always complimented me. Unless it's a 12 yr old in a tank who is convinced all tank snipers are hackers.

Why are tank driver's so surprised still, when they are killed by sniper? Surely it's f*cking common knowledge by now?!

I think the tank is useful against douches that don't fight fair or groups that team up on you thinking they're gangstas. It's not any cowardly using a tank than it is to play in auto aim. When someone griefs me I spawn kill them with my tank. Other than that I prefer to stroll on foot with rpg or minigun in hand in case someone decides to mess with me.

Make sure you're aiming only at griefers. Not all tank drivers are griefers.

 

I prefer to fight a tank with a tank. just when they think they have someone to help them they get obliterated.

killed my first one earlier today. Dickhead came along while me and my friends were just dicking around and bl

my crew was fighting another crew last week on the pier, it was like 5 on 5, i realized 2 of the other guys were making a getaway on a jet ski way off in the distance, it was rainy and foggy, i pulled out my heavy sniper zoomed in and fired one shot...both of them died... 2 birds 1 stone

It is indeed a great feeling, and on the flip-side it keeps you on your toes while in a tank.

Congrats! Just an FYI for those that don't know, here's a tip on how to combat Tanks:

There is a weak spot on the center, you need to stand approx. 40-50 feet directly in front of the tank and fire just between the headlights. Use an SMG, shotgun, etc.
