Man, let me tell you ... rode big storm since October. My standard sniper rifle just didn't cut the mustard. Slowly levelled up, and it proved that heavy sniper is the real deal.

 

Some bitch with his friends were having fun around streets. Whooped me and laughed. I answered them back, they drew 2 tanks on me. Granted, my character was bent proper. Until I drew heavy sniper out.

 

First shot, BOOM! Bitch is dead and shouting in lobby WTF? Yes baby, WTF indeed! Now his friend in 2nd tank gets blown up by other player.

 

.... I mean, I was really struggling with standard sniper. Didn't manage to kill tanker for weeks and then this happens. I feel the buzz.

And this is why I'm going to have three hours in missions tonight to get from lvl87-90..

 

I can't wait to be able to pull this off..

 

Done it with sniper a few times but the heavy seems to have a far greater chance of success.

Lvl91 is so worth it. I didn't think I could pull it off, but it was unexpectedly easy to buttplug tankster.

 

He immediately realised bad company around him. Flee'd like a bitch from the scene, funny I got a tank to catch on and serve him man-juice of vengenance. Blew up his cheetah immediately. Bastid hide away in multistory car park to wait his friend pick him up with helicopter.

 

Shame I missed fleeing helicopter. My tank skills suck, need improving. I gave my tank away to low lvl who then camped me?

 

There is no hope with new players I tell thee.

Atta boy OP, I've sniped quite a few hundred tank drivers, out of a 1000 plus pvp Heavy Sniper kills. I haven't seen many recently, until the other night when I had 5 in the lobby I was in. Even made friends with a fellow sniper on the building next to the one I was on. My long term goal is 5000 plus player kills with my Heavy Sniper. I hope they give us a better 20mm rifle in a future DLC.

Weird cause I used the standard sniper for every tank kill I made. The heavy sniper is great of course but the police have some mega good ears.

I've sniped many tanks, and I believe they have become rare to see because of this. I look for any opportunity I can to snipe tanks because it has become a ritual sport to me. When players cry about a tank on the mic, I always say, "A tank? Nice. Where's it at, I'll take care of it". I want more tank users to shoot at!

I totally agree. I have sniped about 300 tank drivers, but it seems nowadays there are less tanks on the road.

 

Gratz to op. Sniping tanks feels really rewarding. Keep going ;)

The key with sniping tanks, even with the standard sniper rifle (all I have) is to just get far away! Too close and it's ineffective, get farther away and it works a lot better! :)

 

I've had much satisfaction killing tanks but the other day had a lovely moment when I was landing my Frogger near a clothes store on Route 68 and two guys outside started machine-gunning me, I managed to avoid getting killed and land on the roof. As they sped away on an Akuma I got out the sniper rifle, first shot took out the driver around 250 yards away, bike stopped and passenger stayed on the seat as I took him out with the second shot as soon as the gun allowed. Good times. :D

Just got my heavy sniper as well. Played a little last night. No tanks at all. Will try again tonight to get my first tank tool

He parked his tank at top of the stairs and boom! Tank blew up. Hearing him say "how the f*ck.." on the mic was priceless. He then went and got another tank :blink:

nice to see a tank thread with no whining about tanks!!! i love sniping tanks! but i'd be lying if i said i didn't enjoy a good tank rampage also, diff with me tho is if i'm sniped i'll acknowledge a good shot & accept the challenge, game on!

Had a similar experience, though it involved a shielded position that made it impossible for the cannon to hit me. that and about a dozen grenades... tanktard didn't think that all those 'nades would eventually bust his nuts...

Get far away, preferably on a tall building (via helicopter) with line of sight. Aim for the front right hand lower quarter (as tank looks at you) or the vents on the back. The further you are the easier it is. :)

Good work broski. I member wen I first'd pop my tank cherry good times these idiots just drive straight into you so they deserve there PV to get BLOWIN up.

 

See thing is at first in like like mic some may say dec but it was since nov you would always get bad sport, but then rockstar listened to the fans who said it was unfair to tank divers and they fixed it it in the update.

 

Now I blow up as many PV as I want, maybe 10-20 sometimes 30 a sesh and I don't pay no insurance, those dikheds can pay they own insurance since they deserve it for comin near me😎
