I am doing this mission 1 or 2 times everyday as I am not really urge to get a big amount of money, but after the shutdown we have a lot more discuss on this mission as it pays good amount of money.

I just wonder, how could you guys finish this in 5 mins?

I am a bad sniper and I kill everyone on the mission, include those guys near the container, did you guys do the same or just kill the way to the heli. then pick the container then fly away?

is there any better way doing this?

Follow these steps... (I use freeaim on hard and think most players can do this easily by themselves)

1. Move: As soon as the mission starts, your primary objective is to get the Cargobob to spawn ASAP. This means getting down the hill as fast as you can. Run toward the first SUV, and when you get close, headshot the first merc. Take the SUV and head down the right side of the hill so the enemies across the cove can't shoot you.

2. Kill: When the yellow marker clears and the Cargobob starts moving in, stop the SUV turning it to the left for cover and take out the enemies at the bottom of the hill starting from the right side. There are usually a total of 6 enemies combined at the two SUV's. Take out the first two, and then move on to the next four. This can be done very quickly with explosive, especially a rocket, but still pretty fast with any other weapon. Usually, you will have plenty of time after killing them to just sit and wait for the Cargobob to land.

3. Steal: Forget about the rest of the enemies. They are not important. Wait by the SUV at the bottom of the hill for the Cargobob to land, and then jump in it right away from the passenger side. Very important that you don't go around the other side or you will die. Take off and swing around to the left. If done fast enough, you don't have to worry about the pilot. Sometimes he can pull you out of it and get you killed if you take too long, but it's rare. Fly low and grab the crate.

4. Finish: The Cargobob can take a lot of damage, and you rarely get shot in the pilot seat. Take your time picking up the crate and then fly straight to the drop off point. You do not need to release the crate. Fly low over the drop point and the mission will end itself. Press square after the mission to play it again.

This is the best way to do it without glitching. Any other players can snipe for fun.

I consider myself very good in coveted. I usually kill everyone with headshots. Headshots earn more RP. Just focus on the container area and the helicopter landing area. Kill people in only those places and ur good to go.

drive the granger to the spot, snipe all the people at the cove and some at the container area if time permits, get in the cargobob, pick up and fly off. cargobob gets to black smoke but it surprises me how fast I can finish the mission.

Are you hosting this mission from the list in the pause menu? Because I can't find another way to start it.

It unlocks at level 36. It will be in the Rockstar mission section of the job list. Until that level, you need to join someone else who has it.

Whenever I host it I don't get the chance to replay it just dumps me back into a session.

OK, just putting my 2p worth into this..

Speed might not be everything.

IF you figure that the RP you get by killing all the enemies, with free aim on and set at hard, your RP gain might actually work out at about 25% more than doing it fast, so for every four missions you do, you're gettin the equivalent RP of five fast ones...

Depends what you're wnating out of it I suppose..

For pure RP gain, I'd say Crystal Clear Out 3 using a Buzzard would be the quicker option..

Just wanted to add that I take out the first guy (at the SUV) with a baseball bat and the CB pilot with a golf club. More fun and hey, saves a wee bit of ammo.

Also, after taking out the guys at the cove, drive the SUV down and ram the one on the right as there's a guy that often spawns there. It will put him on his ass and you can beat him with melee weapon of choice.

As for the boredom of farming, I made a playlist with Coveted, Potshot and Clearout III. You can simply restart the play list at the end and repeat. It just got WAY too boring doing Coveted over and over. And yes, Clearout III with the Buzzard is indeed the way to go.

Square on ps3 and x on Xbox to restart. Awesome. I was wondering how that was working.

Is the only way to join coveted instead of hosting, to go to the mission marker on foot?

Isnt there a way where you finish the mission by pick up the container and drop it immediately? I played some rounds of Coveted (but wasn't interesting in leveling up), but the other guys were very good at this. We shoot all the enemys, and one guy always took the cargobob, take the container, drops it in the water, and the mission was success. But that was on 1.08, so before 1.09, isn't that possible anymore?

Yes, that glitch still exists, but you need 2 peeps to do it. It doesn't work if U do the mission alone.

Sniping isnt the important part of this mission. Picking up the crate it. If you can swoop in low and snag the container 8/10 time you wont smoke. But if you miss or take too long it smokes and sometimss you fail the mission because the crate was destroyed.

When i play solo i play assisted aim on normal. Hard doest give you more $$$ and if youre after $ and not rp, hard isnt nessisary.

This is how i do it solo

Snipe the guy at the first granger. Then jump down the hill 3 times to move closer faster. Take out the 4 at the container. Then theres a guy to the right by the blue van. Headshot him or youll have to get 2 hits on him. Then there are 2 guys by the dirtbikes. Take them both out. Now move from left to right at the grangers. The 2 guys on the far right will be covered behind the suv. Now to your extreme left there are 3 guys next to a green container. Theyll be covered. Shoot the barrel 3 times for a explosive tripple kill. Hop in the suv near you and drive down to the cove. Smash into the granger the 2 guys are hiding behind. If you do it right theyll both be killed from the impact. If not a pistol or shottie will do the trick.

Now take cover behind a granger and try to pop off anyone across the water. When they cargobob arrives kill the pilot. (Let him pull his smg for some free ammo when you kill him).

Pick up the crate and enjoy the 12k for 5 minutes or less of work.

Prolly not the fastest but it works for me.

This is my solo routine and it takes between 4 and 5 minutes. There are 24 total kills and while the Cargobob can take damage, I've been killed by a missed merc at the container or the far container so an extra 30 seconds to assure their death and my 12k is worth it.

  1. I snipe the merc at the Granger. (1)
  2. Take out the mercs at the bottom of the hill at the center and right (5) - left side mercs will hide quickly (I've tried taking them out first, but it's quicker to machine gun them once down the hill)
  3. Blow up the gas can at the far container (4, but 1 may escape explosion and hide in the far corner)
  4. Snipe as many as I can as quickly as I can at the main Container (2 or 3) - draw out remaining as red dots (sometimes they get alerted by the gas can explosion).
  5. Send an RPG across the bay at the Granger with 3 mercs (3)
  6. When the red dots give chase, Jump in the Granger and drive down the right side.
  7. Throw grenade at center Granger in case I missed one.
  8. While waiting for the Cargobob, kill the mercs on the left side of the hill (4) and the stragglers (1 or 2) from the main container that gave chase.
  9. If shot, eat P&Qs
  10. Snipe remaining mercs across the bay (2)
  11. Kill pilot (1) and pick up Container

I kill most people on the initial hill but that's it. If you got multiple people. Get 2 in the CB and drop container right in the water:mission complete.
