Maggot899 Posted February 12, 2014 Share Posted February 12, 2014 I'm not saying that this DLC will be a let down or anything, I'm just worried about hopping aboard the hype train again and getting as deep into it as I did once trailer two was released and everything after that. I was in no way disappointed with V, and I honestly can't call it broken or unfinished...if all the features were different then people would still be complaining that it isn't the way it is now. If anything it's Merryweather taking revenge or maybe the IRS gets involved and the players money gets zeroed. Another option is Steve Haines or Devin Westins family getting involved. Whatever it turns out to be, I hope it will be exciting. Franklin needs to organize a job too, I was expecting him to and it never happened. theiceman13 Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Why the hell would there be a multiple choice ending if just to be retconned by dlc? Retconning in a sequel sure, but for dlc? No f*cking chance. I personally want a prequel storyline dlc for Mike and Trevor to explore their past and a separate dlc for Frank, but I couldn't care less about that deadpan really. Though, different characters would be great as well, but is unlikely, imo. At any rate I think improving Online is more important than the single player dlc. There's a future in GTA:O there's no future in SP, I think the DLC will be about their previous lives before they meet. I mean how is it gonna continue from the original campaign when they've pretty much done everything and on top of that , they're millionaires so they all went separate ways. Maybe michaels story could be about his life when he was in witness protection, trevors story would be about his TP industries along sandy shores/ Blaine county and franklin's story might be back when he was probably gangbanging with Lamar and the CGF. Just a theory What's the payoff to doing a "prequel?" The main campaign? Where would Michael end up? At home watching movies and letting Jimmy use his credit card to lease a car? Trevor would be f*cking Ashley? Franklin jacking cars with Lamar? What is the point in doing any prequel? It's to flesh out the charcters' pasts, see what makes them tick, and provide more entertainment playing as said charcters. And by prequel. I'm talking pre-Yankton bank heist missions, not miserable Mike and his day to day. There is a future in the gta v single player story universe, i played gta online and to me, it is very tiresome. 5.7 Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I don't want a prequel to the storyline. In the game it is mention how Michael Trevor, Brad, Amanda, Ron, Wade and maybe Lester? all met. I just really do not want a DLC that takes you "back" to that and would like it continue after the story. If the DLC is only going to work for option C, I'm sure people over the world have repeated the storyline and saved different ending files under the options A, B & C. Some mention a prequel be good in a lot different ways but after it's complete what's it going to change for the game? For me, nothing, same; places (that can/can't enter), trucks and people to rob. Same characters as without a prequel we are told how they all met throughout the original storyline and I CBF to play that. Just rather it continue from original SL but open up some buildings (even purchased ones) so we can drink, eat, rob (even when hanging out), gamble (open casino), hairstyles, clothes, gym & all around more options for us who like or miss features like that in GTA games for when this DLC is over we still got added after game features. The options don't need to add to anything weight, muscles etc, just f*ck I can't take much more driving around to find 1-2minute robbing and 10 minute hide and seek one star police chase. Give me something! I wanna gamble, drink, f*ck the PG rat race of the world who complain this and that, R*/GTA give me something!
