When you creatively, it's the great equalizer. Nothing like following your target around at a distance, and when theyre in a store, you park the car with a stick on it right by the door. They either come out and realize too late, or dont come out at all.

Sticky fan here. AA fan as well.

 

Things always get abused but hey. Use things as intended, great. Use them creatively , even better. abuse things and you lose when circumstances change against you (stickies in a confined space or killing from a distance (stickies have little range so distance is your friend)) Minorities with no scope or creativity are to blame here.

 

Feedback is useful if someone listens and values communication. R* have been piss poor at this (offensively and professionally so (I work in customer service for a living)). IMHO save the feed back for R* themselves and simply wait (If people think the butt hurt on the forums is bad check the R* support forums).

lol i love grenades except when standing up he tends to drop them instead of throwing thats how i blow myself up lolol i know theres another button you have to hold down to throw but i keep forgetting and the grenade is cooking, remember last nights session with davis and some other wierd name well i kept killing them both with booby traps and half with automatic shotgun 7 kills with sniper rifle and 8 with heavy mg when you left they both left like 3 minutes later of continuous sticky bomb and auto shotty kills davis was 8 - 15 and weird dude was 9 - 21 lol no wonder they rage quit.

i killed myself once when the gernade went off in my player's hand , was trying to aim and took too long lol. another time i blew up the truck i was supposed to steal because i was throwing gernades over it and the last one hit the top of the truck and landed in front of me , i ran out of there but the truck was destroyed and i failed the mission. i left the session because i got tired of getting killed . that and the auto aim screwed me over the last time i died

I dont get how this is funny. A guy walks into a clothing store, not bothering you or anyone else, you think its funny to run the player from the session how? Whats funny about being a complete douche, to a player who has no interest in playing with you? Perhaps they were trying to get an achievement or get a few extra rank points, so why is it so funny to ruin this players experience, for your own juvenile enjoyment? I guess if he was messing with you and you were getting creative revenge, that would be different. That isnt the case though. You arent being creative, there is no creativity in simplistic trolling. You aren't being funny, your being a dick. If you get joy from being a dick, then more power to ya. But in the end, no matter how much you giggle into your footy pajamas before mommy comes to tuck you in, you're still just a dick.

I dont get how this is funny. A guy walks into a clothing store, not bothering you or anyone else, you think its funny to run the player from the session how? Whats funny about being a complete douche, to a player who has no interest in playing with you? So your opinion of what is stupid causes you to rage troll legitimate threads? Good to know. Because for a second there I was assuming you applied logic and interest in the integrity of gameplay in your opinion/analysis. As long as we all know now that your opinion is essentially based off of moronic logic and griefing all other players. It sounds like someone has anger issues and takes out their crappy day to day frustrations on abusing loop holes in GTA gameplay and takes pleasure in ruining peoples interactive entertainment experiences. If anything you sir are what's wrong with online play.

 

That being said, I'm ok with stickies while a player is on foot. I feel that's a reasonable compromise for the die hard sticky lovers. Tanks are really quite lame as a matter of fact. I'm sure conceptually it seemed like a great idea on a white board. Practically it is a disaster. Why? Because there are tons of low rank players in freemode who haven't unlocked RPGs or are just trying to play with friends who are higher ranks. This causes a serious amount of imbalance because low ranks have no real defense or offense for that matter against Tank Guy with no life who owns the tank. Any time I hear a tank I know it's just another noob who thinks his K/D is awesome now that he's in God Mode.

 

The best games I've had involve guns, vehicles and high speed chases. Sure, tossing a sticky and blowing up a vehicle is fun, so is driving around God Mode style in a tank killing anything and everything laughing at the fact that the cops cant really kill or stop you. Is that chaos? Yes. Good and entertaining chaos over sustained periods of gameplay? No, not at all. Does it lead to all players using stickies in order to compete with sticky spamming? Yes. It causes escalation where most of the time it ends up being the preferred method of killing.

 

That...is the problem. Having stickies in cars has evolved into the only method of killing because of escalation. If you don't see that fact and call it bitching, you're probably eating a sandwich under a bridge while reading this...Trolls.

For some theres more than PvP. For some of us, we occasionally enjoy being a jerk so deal with it. You knew this was going to be what the game was like prior to purchase, and if you don't like it play on your own game.

 

Spawn killing sucks regardless of the weapon being used, don't take the blame out on stickies. Those people are asshats no matter if they use a bat.

Citing the throwing of sticky bombs as something that should be removed as it is not realistic is total and utter bovine manure. The daily world output of bovine manure is not enough to cover this.

 

It's a game. Nothing more. If you're going to claim the throwing of sticky bombs as unrealistic, how about the sheer abount of ammo your character can carry even-though they are only wearing a pair of y-fronts. Yeah, that's totally realistic(!)

 

I think some people need to just learn how to enjoy the game. i think there was a tutorial created somewhere a while back.

Even if the player didn't kill him. That's still some funny sh*t.. Happened to me when I robbed a store, I just got in the lobby, minding my own business, robbing, shooting, stealing. Come out to the car... BOOOM!!!!!

 

Hahahahaha.. Scared the sh*t outta me. Dude that did it couldn't believe that I was laughing about it and that I didn't send Merryweather or put a bounty on him.. I told him why, that was great. AND it blew up my fake car that I had bought and fixed up with fake money. Oh boo hoo.. He didn't kill me or go after me after that.. He actually helped me out a few times when I had about 3 or 4 players coming after me..

For some theres more than PvP. For some of us, we occasionally enjoy being a jerk so deal with it. You knew this was going to be what the game was like prior to purchase, and if you don't like it play on your own game.

"occasionally" being an operative phrase in that statement. I've used sticky bombs to my advantage on several occasions and I still think their functionality is stupid and cheap. My objection is less to do with how mad they make people - seriously, if you get really mad at video games, it's time to take a break - and more about how ridiculously unbalanced they are. What is even the point of using an SMG or AP pistol from your car when you already know someone is just going to flick a sticky bomb at you and drive off looking for another PV to destroy?

 

Driveby combat is fun, it's like jousting when you and another player are driving around the street charging at each other with guns blazing, coming back for another run if you both survive the first rush. Being sticky bombed by someone who spends $50k a day on explosives is just boring. Who wants to play a boring game?

Thank you! If you don't expect it, it's even better. I don't care if someone thinks I'm a dick, theres a room for people that the games deems dicks, which I have not made a trip to. I don't run around stickying the world for giggles, but I do it when least expected for fun. If the other person can't take a joke, they shouldn't be playing this game.

For what it's worth, my personal favourite use for sticky bombs is to put them on the high priority vehicle and simply lie in wait for someone to climb into it. Few things amuse me more than tapping left on the D-pad from the other side of the city, hearing the distant thud of an explosion and seeing my name come up as the aggressor on the kill feed.

 

So yes, I'm a dick too. I still don't think they should be throwable.
