Sticky Bombs thrown from Cars should be ended

The tactic of players throwing sticky bombs from their vehicles racking up tons of kills is being overly abused and really needs to be eliminated from online play. I personally think it was a good idea, but like many things that are fun in video games, players end up manipulating it to a point where it adversely affects the overall gameplay around the action.

 

I'd be fine with it being useable during Jobs, but during Freemode with 15 other players throughout the map, it really needs to go bye bye. Way too much abuse. It's cheap and isn't a reflection of much or any skill, just a player with an endless bank account.

When players use it with EVERY vehicular encounter on the streets it's too much and that's what I'm seeing. $600 for one sticky isn't that expensive when you think about all of the ways players make money and how quickly they can.

 

Sticky abuse has been really ramping up the last 3 weeks I've been playing. Frankly, it's very annoying and takes away the fun and strategy in car to car combat or in chasing/stalking enemies. Calling me names without analysis means you are a troll. Way to go troll. Now go eat a sandwich under a bridge where you belong.

There's nothing like sticky bombing the Simeon high priority vehicle as an insurance policy. I can't have it, no-one can! The more evil minded player could even just trap it with no intention of ever delivering it.

I'm out. Sticky Bombing from a car is a concept that needs to be IMPROVED on! We should be allowed to use our Grenade Launchers and RPG's from the car as well heck we need to mount our miniguns to the car so that we can rain hell on our foes! We need to allow use of shotguns from cars as well! we need to abolish bulletproof tires to! WE NEED TO MAKE THE CARS GO BOOM AFTER 30 BULLETS TO THE DOOR!!! WE NEED TO MAKE BULLETS GO BOOM ON CONTACT WITH METAL!!!!! WE NEED TO AIRSTRIKE SAN ANDREAS OFF THE MAP!!!!!!!!!!

 

Seriously though, Sticky Bombing from the car is just plain stupid. It's hard for me to tell if theres a bomb on my car before the other player sets it off. Also, its just plain stupid when people are given the ability to just claim bounties by just throwing a sticky bomb at the car. There's nothing rewarding about that. If we are going to have Sticky Bombs, then we need to set some restrictions, and one of them will need to be "not allowed in a car/motorcycle"

Sticky Bombs should be thrown in the same manner as all other thrown weapons.
Whilst the vehicle is moving only out the side, whilst parked full thrown arch,

Perhaps have the passengers able to use the thrown arch whilst moving.
But the driver shouldn't be able to, why can we throw a brick but not a grenade.

I don't have a problem with people blowing up my car with sticky bombs (or tanks, or rpg's...), but I do think that R* needs to fix the f*cking insurance thing! It's BS that I have to pay $10k when someone else blows up my car. As a result of this, I end up never driving my Entity in public free roam.

Don't blame your sh*t driving on people using sticky bombs, my main weapon when driving is the AP Pistol, I've got reasonably good at killing that way.

 

My deaths-from-other-players-whilst-driving leans heavily towards guns than it does bombs, but it is funny when they screw up the bombing and kill themselves

It's too easy to destroy cars with c4, every other weapons does requir a lot of effort, ap pistol is the only weapon I use, it's totally balanced and fun with the accuracy, but why can't the passenger pull out a grenade launcher, or rpg?(well, maybe not rpg because it's too difficult to hold it tight when in car) I just hate the fact how fast it can kill, totally unbalanced weapon.(suggestion: use police riot they need multiple sticky bombs to destroy while the window actually offers some protection)

OP when someone throws a sticky from their car, if it is daylight you can see it flying through the air slowly. Wanna know a secret? Reverse and it will miss you and land on the floor. You have approx. 2 seconds to reverse after he has thrown the sticky bomb because it flies through the air like a fat kid.

 

Learn to play and man up. That is the only advice which is suitable to give to you.

i had the sweetest revenge kill just last night . some bastard and his friend were riding together in their adder and chased me down while i was riding in my ztype . they sticky bombed me and killed me and blew up my car . so what did i do? i went for my entity , chased the f*ckers down and threw a sticky bomb of my own at them , it blew up above the adder , blowing it up and killing BOTH of them in the process. unlike the OP here i didnt whine and bitch and demand that sticky bombs cant be used from a car , i just chased down the bastards and repaid them in kind .

reverse doesnt always work because the blast radius can still blow up your vehicle .

Reverse? If going above 100 mph it takes about 6 to7 second to completely stop at this point he already passed the sticky reversing will cause him to run over the sticky he should might as well kill himself

Damn, I have spent a few hours over the last few days trying to do that. Haven't gotten one yet! I suck at getting those rockets to go where I want them to. The worst is crash and burning in the process, I can just hear them laughing at me...
