Clem Fandango Posted February 12, 2014 Share Posted February 12, 2014 I don't have a nickname per se. but ever since middle school most of my closest friends have simply referred to me by my last name. being that my last name is relatively unique, it sort of works as a nickname because no one else would ever be mistaken for me. at the very least, I have yet to encounter anyone in my 26 years of life on Earth with the same last name as I. unfortunately I won't be sharing it with any of you. unless you can guess it. I'll tell you if you're right. Yeah, same with me. I've come to introduce myself with my last name because my friends will literally correct me if I don't. And when a relative or family friend calls me by my first name, they burst out in uproarious laughter since my first name is much more common and conservative. My second name is my Turkish name, Cem, but only my family call me that. My most used name is what all my friends call me, Paddy. I can honestly say that more people call me Webbie than call me by my first name. My last name is Webb so that's where Webbie comes from. Long story short, I started working at my uncle's garage about 8-9 years ago now, and his father started calling me Webbie, so everyone else starting doing the same. It's kind of become a personal challenge now to see how long I can keep the 'Kippers' moniker alive. That came from my surname, which is Fitzpatrick.
