universetwisters
We all have names. Don't you f*cking dare lie to me about that. But the question is, do you go by your real (or full) name in real life, or do you go by a nickname? For example, my full name is "Philip", but considering that it sounds like a staunch, upper-class name (in my opinion), I go by "Phil" and I prefer people to call me "Phil" aswell. My family always calls me "Philip" though, and that bugs me, but my friends and most of my cousins call me "Phil", so that's super cool.

Fireman
Native English speakers can't pronounce my name well, so they just say Mic (pronounced Mick) However everyone else just calls me Michiel, though I've also been called Mug, Maickel, Michael, Mitchell, Michelle, Michel, Mike, Michelangelo, Emil, Emile, Emiel, Mitch, Mitchel, Mark and almost every other name with a M in it. Moth
From grade 8 up to the end of highschool, I went by a nickname. Before grade 8 and after highschool, I go by my given name, Eric. If you are wondering what my nickname was, it was Tiny. I'm anything but tiny. 6.6', broad shoulders and a fat ass. RiaJay21
My real name is Victoria (hence where the 'Ria' in my username comes from), but everyone who knows me calls me Vicky. To the point that being called Victoria is totally alien to me, and it makes me slightly uncomfortable when people use it - even though it's written on my name badge. There were three Victorias in my high school English classes, including me. We all went by Vicky. Vicky, Vicki and Vikki. I tried out being called Tori for a while in college after that, but it never stuck because I only responded to Vicky ... universetwisters and na89340qv0n34b09q340

Vicky, Vicki and Vikki. I remember in my 5th grade class, there were three Alex's and we had to refer to them by their first AND last name. How I still remember this, I have no clue. Crazyeighties
It's weird for me becaus my first and last name are both names that are used for first names people call me Colin, Connor, sometimes Rich, or Richard if I don't know the person
I cucked Alex Jones
I've been called Sam my entire life so that's my real name to me. I've also been called Red, Ginger, and Clifford a lot. They all work I guess.

It's funny, the things you tend to remember from school - that's one of the few memories I actually haven't suppressed ... The teachers used to do a similar thing here - we had lots of Sams, Joshes and Andrews, too. Trouble was, all our surnames started with S, so there was none of that for us! universetwisters

I can't recall having met anybody else named Phil. There was this one kid in my middle school named Phillip, though. He was autistic and obsessed over anime. That aside, I don't know of many other "Phils".
98 in 1
I've had a few friends call me Tony (despite my expressed distaste for it), and a good friend of mine almost never calls my by my actual name unless it's necessary. He always calls me Ansman. My family members sometimes call me Sage, but I don't really consider that a nickname because it was originally going to be my first name. My mother was afraid teachers would mispronounce it though, so she just went with Anthony. Now that I think about it, back in the 4th grade my classmates called me Chappelle because they thought I was funny.
Johan
Only people that nickname me are my friends. Since my name is Johan, my friends call me "Gohan" from the popular anime Dragon Ball Z. GoldenBlade
Mostly everybody just calls me by my first name, which is John. Sometimes, I get called by nicknames, though (Johnboy, Johnny, Johnathan, etc.). Johnboy is the main nickname that family calls me by. It's a nickname that has been passed on through the family. Being a Jr., my dad just called me by the nickname that he's always used.

A lot of people call me by my first and last name, and I half think that is because it makes my name sound less like a nickname. na89340qv0n34b09q340
I go by my first name, but I've always thought it sounds kinda childish. The one adult I can remember who has the same name is some stoner who does cave tours, and no thank you to that. Once I get out of high school I'ma start going by Allen; that's my middle name. I've always felt more like an Allen.
