I saw something similar the train was like never ending and it was going super slower plus it didn't have a head at the very front lol it was weird but cool .

when you blow up the engine car, the train stops... I'm sure eventually the blown up part goes away or, if you weren't there when it happened, may never appear...

I had the other day too. Mine actually moved though. Followed it for a bit and took some photos..

While taking photos on the track another train came from behind me. It eventually caught up to the engineless train and went through it.....

I didnt get a picture but it went straight through it..... Ghost train....

 

Cue twilight zone music...

noun: glitch; plural noun: glitches
1.
a sudden, usually temporary malfunction or fault of equipment.
"a draft version was lost in a computer glitch"

 

To me thats a glitch

How do you get this to happen?

 

I've killed the conductor many times but the train kept going even with him slumped over the controls but i've never got it to stop before

The more I think about it the more I realise most people on this forum wouldn't know what the twilight zone is. X files may even be stretching it.....

Hmm cant say that I have ever had this happen to me as it just seems that the train is somewhat bugged online.

Meh, "bug" and "glitch" are largely interchangeable. The stupid thing is when people call any exploit a bug or glitch.

I swear I didn't touch the train. All I heard was this BOOM, and I looked and saw half the train moving slowly, and this part just sitting there.

yeah that's what I meant - someone blue up the engine (or maybe it glitch-exploded - though I've never heard of that) - you never saw the engine because it disappeared as damaged things often do...

 

 

That being said - I've not seen this "never ending train" glitch that someone spoke of...

 

 

ALSO - sidenote/complaint - there's not enough in-game (either single player nor multiplayer) involving the train... the train conductor is likely the loneliest NPC in the game aside from Simeon.

Why anyone would spend time laying a musical track on this video clip is beyond me.

 

Its a game bug. In case you haven't noticed, this game is FULL of bugs.

I hitched a lift on a train with a friend back from by the clucking bell factory back into town,

i was just enjoying the ride and then the train stopped and noticed my friends radar blip moving away from me,

 

i jumped on top of the container car to see my friend still on his half of the train moving away into the distance and my half was just marooned,

after just standing on top of the container car getting my head around what had just happened another train come down the line and went through what was left of my train and hit me killing me!! i was like WTF has just happened.

 

Never witnessed it again but been riding trains now and again waiting for it to happen.

This was in an invite only session.

 

Not a glitch. You just have to use like 10+ stickies on the front of the train where the conductor is. Just search in youtube "how to stop a train in gta v" and you'll find all the details on how to do it.

I didn't blow it up though. And there isn't a front end.
