People not sharing cars, what's up?

Okay so the other day I was on a mission to grab a bunch of trailers. We ran out of trucks to pull them with. Me and some dudes were screwing around not doing anything so I figured I'd grab a car and look for another truck to help speed the mission along. I got in a team mates car and he promptly pulled me out and locked the doors. Sup on that? We're on the same team!

 

On another mission my car was away doing it's own thing (it had more important things to do on the other side of Los Santos) so I jumped in another team mate's car. The turd burger locked the doors and took off and left me hanging!

 

I feel like if you doing a mission with people it's a cooperative effort to finish the mission so what gives??

 

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I always keep my car unlocked in missions They leave you hanging for the Rp if they get more kills

I always have my car on crew only but during missions I quickly change the settings and let people in

One of my biggest pet peeves is to get ready to go to the next objective during a mission and my car is already on its way there, because some scrub showed up without his/her car. If you don't abuse the mechanic, he shows up every time you choose Request Personal Vehicle in the interaction menu. I don't mind giving someone a lift, but don't hop in my chit like it's yours, mang.

Because there are a lot of scumbag players out there that either take your car and leave you or destroy it.

 

No offense but I never let players I don't know take my car. I know it's only a game or what not but I have come across more scum players in free mode and random missions than legit players.

 

My opinion tho.

I always have mine unlocked in free mode and missions. If someone takes my car on a mission and leaves me behind, he's getting kicked out. If he wants to drive, that's fine. I've never experienced the problem of people not giving you a ride on missions.

My car is always locked and I will leave other players standing in a mission. Should have brought their own car.

I always offer other people rides in missions and subsequently have my car set to everyone, but that doesn't mean I want some random hopping in my car and driving off with it, if you did that with me I'd lock that sh*t down in a second and kick your ass out on the curb.

 

The only exception being if you asked first and I said yes, or if some mission critical objective was getting away and I wasn't in a position to stop it but you were and my car was right next to you, apart from those sorts of extenuating circumstances there's no way in hell I'm letting anyone drive off in my car without me.

I have the opposite problem. Everybody wants to drive me. Even when I have the better, faster car they insist I get in theirs. Majority of the time they're not even good driver's!

Cure for this is to let them go get killed and don't go anywhere near the mission, they will eventually quit and maybe think next time about giving you a ride.

I've had people kick me out of my car while waiting for them to get in so we can go.. I kicked them out, got back in my car and took off after a couple toots of the horn.

 

Don't pull me outta my own sh*t.

 

Otherwise I usually forget until the first mission I run to put it on everyone, then I do and we're good until some tard ruins it for everyone.

I'll gladly let you in my car if i'm driving. But the second you expect me to sit in the passenger of my own car while you drive into everything and destroy it, and make me pay for it. then your ass is outta there, and usually gets ran over 3-4 times before being left in the dust.

 

The same applies for aircraft. Some dude took my buzzard for a mission and couldn't kill with it, didn't pick anyone up (luckily I jumped in last second) and nearly destroyed it. Minutes later he parachuted off the building and I proceeded to chop his parachute off with a new buzzard, and watched him splatter on the ground.

I don't know about you... but I don't ride around in busted up cars, especially my own after some tool gets it stuck up a tree.

I personally don't like the idea of locking the car, if I leave it somewhere, someone should be able to have some fun with.

 

Granted, there is plenty of room for abuse, but I feel like it should be that way.

 

However, when I get killed pulling out of my garage and some dude takes my car, I'll absolutely kick them out.

I always lock and unlock my cars in missions because its mine.. Its my 'tool' to use. I need it by me... Right by me constantly.

 

I wish there was a passenger only option. Then i would gladly leave it open.

 

But so many times where i have forgot to lock it i get reminded as to why i should have.

 

 

If the player i play with is cool.. I'll leave it unlocked.. Because i know they won't take it and leave me on foot.
