Everybody after that became a whino. exactly every gta protagonist has been naive as hell....but the difference is Tommy is smart, unlike the other gta protagonists I wouldn't say he's smart haha, but he's definitely got a head on his shoulders. He could have arrested CJ too but he knew that he could make CJ his bitch so he decided to keep him. He demolished the whole freaking Grove Street gang with his wit and some help from Ballas....bastard still didn't die at the hands of anyone. The fact of the matter is, there's a lot of perspectives that mean intelligence. Just because you have knowledge, doesn't mean your smart. I can easily say Trevor's the smartest because he see's society in a raw form, which is why he lashes out. The world is cruel and you can't change a thing, Trevor understands that, he lives that knowledge with hate while others have a dead end job until they decide they want out and pull a pistol out after a night of sulking and a few drinks. I can also say that to many characters because a character at its finest has something to show about the world, something to say because of a strong opinion. Lester is little more than a number-spewing, email-hacking, see all know all type of guy. But that's just from typing in some jankity jank into a computer. Now, what he does with that information, that is what makes him smart. Unlike all the previous stuff I mentioned, how Lester plans out the heists and things like that is more than just memorization. It's adapting to the situation at hand, seeing his prey's true weakness, and knowing how and when and where to pounce. That, my good sir, is the true measure of intelligence. Sure, Lester may posses all of what I had just mentioned. But that's that make him the smartest Grand Theft Auto character? Maybe. The characters who can readily adapt to the situations at hand are truly the smartest. And who are they, you may ask….? Tune in next time, since I'm much too lazy to think right now.
