does anyone else find it near impossible to ride bike's?

Every time I ride a bike it pulls drastically to the left. It's impossible for me to ride them.

Goes for motorcycles as well as push bikes.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this? I have to crash the bike and almost buckle the wheel for it to drive bloody straight!

Must admit I ride the Double-T (think thats what it's called) motorbike constantly and have never experienced this. Is it only on this game? Reason I ask I used to get this a lot on Fifa several years ago and it was my left analog stick. It was a bit past it and constantly sat to the left.

If not that chum, I'm sorry but I don't have an answer. Hope you resolve it soon tho :-)

The steering on bikes in this game is very sensitive. It's like driving a Formula 1 car; you need careful precision when handling a bike. This applies to both bicycles and motorcycles. After a while you get used to it, and you eventually adapt to the sensitive controls, effectively becoming a good driver.

Could be your controller. Try re-calibrating it. If you're on PS3 turn off the controller, plug it into a USB port (and if it's plugged in then unplug and plug it BACK in), then turn the controller back on. That should usually zero the sticks. If that doesn't work it might be time for a replacement.

If you're on 360, maybe someone else might be able to help.

It all just takes practice....and balls.

Bikes are easy to ride, all instances. I can easily turn a sharp corner on the Akuma by slamming the handbrake but still accelerating, and releasing the handbrake when at the correct angle.

it was happening to me too! it was the sixaxis sh*t. Go to menu, settings, controller, and put driving sixaxis sensor off! :D

I'm great at riding bikes.....How I ride : I only use the accelerate button, and i just use the joystick to correct my course, when I turn , I completely let go and it lets execute the turn near perfectly , just some tips.

Are you by any chance pushing the left analogue stick forward so your character leans down on the handle bars and gains a little bit of speed?

Learn to use the brakes and u be gud. Those bikes go fast so you gotta lern to control the power. Also you are a movin target so I need da body armor. But if you learn to use your straight aways proper, use alley, and trick cars into bottleneck with sticky bomb you will turn into a GAWD DAMN NINJA SEX MASHINE.

Bikes are the most noob-vehicle in this game mate, you can´t struggle with them.

Sure the steering is sensitive but once you´re used to it it´s just stupidly easy.

Pro-tip: You CAN alter the steering sensitivity in the road bicycles. Hold R1 and while you´re doing that your character will use the lower part of the handlebar. Your turning circle is much bigger and you can be much smoother on easy corners.

Oh the dreaded motion Senor is ON debacle....i remember when I was able to fly for the first time and i was on a mission to raise my flight stats....

so i flew for hours wondering why the hell my stats werent moving up as fast as my others did and also wondering why even at 20% flight skill level, my helicopters and planes were flying so damn erratically. Man, if it wasnt for that YouTube viddy i stumbled upon where finally the motion sensor thing is mentioned i wouldnt have wasted hours flying with my motion sensor on without me knowing it.

I cannot even imagine what that could do to you on a bike.....a lot more forgiving in a plane, im sure!

Just to clarify, all others games are fine guy's.

I dont even have to touch the analog stick and it will fly to the left and then on the odd occasion it's sometimes to the right.

Cars etc are completely fine. It's just bike's.

Ill give your suggestions a go. Thanks :)

I play moto gp and also have never had problems with previous gtas. It certainly isn't a matter of my skills being poor.

So when you´re stick is ok, it must be the ingame setting "motion control", or the bike.

I guess you didn't change any game data, wright ? :)
Which console and bike you have ? Since when you have this problem?
View days ago the playstation had a update.

Did you test it with other bikes, or cars ?

If there are bumps, I only ride bikes. Anything else forces you to flip or spin out if you bounce while turning your wheels.

MOTION SENSOR setting -- turn it OFF, as a couple of guys said above. That will fix the left-leaning problem. Very important. You can turn it off for cars, bikes, planes separately.

But beyond that, the handheld controllers for game consoles (both Xbox and PS) are the worst pieces of sh*t I have ever seen. They have supposedly analog control ranges on the sticks and the triggers, but the goddamn dead zone takes up 2/3 of the range.:angry:

It is most rare (if ever) to see a video of someone, even an expert, controlling a car in a GTA game, where he is not steering rail-to-rail, just like if he was using the WASD keys on a PC. Game makers put good physics and good steering, braking and throttle control into their cars, but the sh*tty controllers completely undercut that potential finesse. It has driven me nuts for a decade.

You need to go to LSC and try different combinations of front and rear wheels. Some combinations will pull left or right, and some will even make you wheelie without trying. That's the reason you can have different front and rear wheels - so that people can make the bike fit their own unique riding style.

totally agree on the xbox/ps3 controlers, ive no experience with next gen stuff yet but yea they are awfull..

I come from pc gaming, primarily flight sims and racing sims and always made sure I decent kit, the deadzones on these console controllers is insane, probably put their so it helps with spiking after a few months.. and the less said about the ranges the better, and considering what you get in regard to the quality of the internals I think their very expensive personly

GTA Master 007

My friend has a ps3 and also complains about this problem, he says when driving a car the controls are perfect but when in a bike or bicycle it turns to the left.

The controllers arent bad at all. At least the ps3 one.

In F1 games I am on the same pace with controllers and g25 wheel when I have the chance to use it.

Triggers are just as good as pedals and the edge a wheel gave me compared to a stick was just extra consistency.

It is software setup what makes a controller feel good or bad. The hardware is decent.

BMX yes, because there's a delay between you hitting the hop button and your char actually hoping. So annoying.
