Show your Metal Colours

Hi All, the colours which you can unlock with winning a rally race are called Metal.

 

Since October (I am rank 121 at first character and Rank 30 at second)I did not take those colours so serious and never aim to race in rally mode. But yesterday when I was playing with second character and racing for hours for unlocking the chrome paint by chance I was in a rally race with my entity at Jumps Jumps Jumps. It is straight race track and easy to win... I won the race and metals have opened.

 

While I donot have chrome at that character I gave a chance to Metals and to be frankly they look better than chrome. They look metal but not shinning like chrome. Then I made perlecent glitch and they look much better especially the black steel. I also set a rally race for my 1st charachter then and have metals for him too.

I know there is a topic about pics but this thread is specific for metal colour cars like the other specific threads for a single car models... There are not too mant people uses metal colours in GTAO thus I tried to make people see how good they look.

 

But if there is a rule that we cannot open specific threads for seeing some good pics, then mods can lock this thread.

In most cases, full metal looks as terrible as full chrome. I haven't used it as a base for a pearl paint, though, but in pictures that can look pretty good.

 

 

IIRC, that's "brushed steel" as a secondary along the bottom.

First off you need a light weapon, like an SMG or UZI, i'll explain why in a second, Put a silencer on (so the cops don't mess it up)

then shoot the upper right, or left corner of the hood of your Car, (See the picture and look for bullet holes) this is the reason why i preffer the SMG or UZI so you don't blow up your car in the process , After shooting 10 to 15 rounds, the hood should pop open a bit, keep shooting until the hood pops up the second time, now get into your car and drive forward slowly until the hood is completely open and try to park your car without shutting it, if you do shut it, shoot the corner again until it pops back open, (This time it just needs to pop up 1 time) If done correctly the hood should remain open upon exiting the car, now simply open the doors, and there you go:

Quite a nice usage. I generally find it to be like Chrome in how tacky it is and how difficult it is to make a tasteful decision with it. Pearls with it just look too watered down, too muddy, too murky, not something that's pleasing to me. This works.

 

I really don't like the metals though. Brushed Aluminum is probably the only decent one as it's so light in appearance it doesn't necessarily look like a tin can or some rims 50 cent would buy.
