Spitefulness towards Supercars?

I was just thinking about this due to the sudden increase of vehicular destruction towards my cars lately.

Why do people insist on damaging or destroying your car even though it will cost them financially? I can understand why one would do this a few weeks ago with the large amount of money situation present at the time, but now?

It generally only happens with my supercars. I will often park them somewhere quiet while I go off to do other activities, and will soon be given a notification saying that somebody has destroyed my personal vehicle even though I posed no threat or was even in the area at the time. Interestingly, this doesn't happen with other vehicle classes, to me at least. For example, my Tailgater, despite being distinctive even when parked up, generally is never touched even in plain sight. I like to keep the cars locked, are people taking offence that I won't let them wreak havoc in my car, so decide to destroy it out of spite?

Its generally lower level players who do it. I'm glad that most can afford the insurance payments, but its rather irritating when you meet someone that can't.

Does anybody else have the same thing happen to them?

Most players who drive super cars in free roam like to grief and kill on sight. So normally the general reactions to super cars are bad.

Mostly because it's extremely difficult to combat Entitys and Adders (Rear-End towards enemy and fire!) on foot or even in-car. Thus, it's better just to blow them up since that's really the only option most of the time.

I do agree that you run into a lot of griefers driving them.

This happens to my cars all the time. What can i say? Stupid people...

When i see cars left out i ignore them unless it's a super car. If it's a super i get a Cargobob and dump it in the nearest body of water. People need to stop being cheesy and only driving supers around.

I don't play much any more, but when I do I always blow up every super car I come across in FR. The reason being is that I can never join a race anymore without it being the super class. And when I'm a host and change it to a different class nearly everyone leaves. Blowing up their cars is my pisspoor revenge.

For me it all comes down to performance, I didn't used to drive Supers so much in free roam (I prefer my Banshee) but that was until I was being chased by an Adder this one time with a bounty on my head, I was on fire tearing through corner after corner in my Banshee and managed to lose at least 5 people, just the one guy in his Adder was left.

No matter what I did I just couldn't shake this guy, he was barely keeping up but he was keeping up, and eventually I made a mistake and he got me. If I was in a better car I know I could have lost the guy. I used to think my Banshee was high performance enough, but now I know better, and I don't like being at a disadvantage in a fight/competition so stepping up to driving Supers myself seemed the way to go.

As a result I just redesigned my free roam garage by getting rid of my Gauntlet, Bifta and Elegy for a Bullet, Infernus and Adder (Adder still a work in progress), and now I pretty much never drive anything but Supers (unless I need to carry more than 2 people, got my Exemplar for that). I've also got a Stinger GT, Banshee, Akuma, Hotknife and Khamelion (I own legit CE) in my free roam garage so I think I've got both style and function covered now (Edit: also I forget to mention I already had an Entity).

Also I have a fully modded racing garage on my first character and I'm just as annoyed as anyone by the constant racing of Supers and nothing else, but that's no good reason to hold it against other people for driving the kind of car they want in free roam.

On a side note I really think they need to add more Supers, part of the problem I think is that people are annoyed at the lack of variety, everyone wants a high performance car and with so few options it's no surprise to me that you just keep seeing the same cars over and over.

People seemed to take exception to me riding a quad around the map last night, shooting at me when I have no protection. Left a wake of blown up cars behind. Fully deserved and worth the 50k+ I had to spend

Yeah i noticed this aswell, i always use my Entity if i'm planning on going straight to a heli or plane so i can head up north for a bit of off roading and before i can get there and phone to have my Rebel delivered someone has blown it up.

It doesn't bother me but i just don't understand it, they don't even know whose car it is and i haven't done anything to them as i just joined the server but a compulsion takes over and they 10k down.

The person who said they stick out is right. I've noticed people like to make their expensive cars as noticeable as possible (pinks, greens, hell my Entity XF is bright blue with flourescent blue rims). You pay a lot of money for them, might as well show them...HOWEVER, they are now easier to spot targets.

In terms of why? It's GTA, that is enough reason for most people. Generally, I leave people alone unless they're doing something that makes me question their motives, like chasing me for no reason. If that's the case, it's worth the 10,20,30K whatever it ends up being in order to show them I don't care. And if I run out money, thats their problem.

The only people I mess with unprovoked is my crew...because reasons.

Because rockstar f*cked up and gave the griefing tank morons a free pass to blow up pv's and not pay insurance or get a bad sport warning. Really stupid because 95% of the douchebags who belong in bad sport are the twats running around constantly in tanks.

Ballistic Jello

Heh, my entity is matte black and I try not to even drive it in free roam, I hate that that ugly POS is the best racing super.

In free roam I like my Comet and Rancher XL.

I once resprayed my voltic PV salmon pink, with salmon pink wheels. on it's maiden voyage into freeroam my own crew started smashing it up with bats and eventually a grenade. I realise now they were actually teaching me a valuable lesson in sociology and taste, but the point of all this is that people have urges. a common urge is to humblize people with fancypants super cars - even if they hypocritically have a super themselves,

the urge is the urge.

I roll in a lime green Vacca...neon status. Let's just say if my car is left on the street it gets destroyed. If you're gonna have a nice car why not be flashy amiright?

I get attacked in almost any car. The only car people never seem to attack is the Monroe. Guess people really like that car and I notice Monroe owners tend to have good taste.

I noticed my orange Voltic would attract a lot of bad attention and often would get destroyed if left alone. Gave it a cast iron silver paint job and now no one seems to pay attention to it even when left in popular spots like the hospital/heliport.

Honestly, if someone wants to blow my car up for no reason, have at it as long as Im not in it. It's no sweat off my back 95% of the time. They pay for a brand new ride to replace one that was probably crashed up cuz I drive like Travis Pastrana on cappuccino. If they have no money or I got killed...welp, now we have problems.

Everyone has a super car.

So there's no real point in showing them off. Get a Cheetah, paint it matte grey, give it Xenon lights and you can now sneak up on people with a Batmobile lol.

dude tell me about, remember that 500k deposit from rockstar? I bought a vacca with it, it was literally my first legitimate car, some guy in a mission burns it a jerry can while I'm busy. To make things worse, I come to find out I didn't even have insurance on it :(

I mean, I could buy another Vacca sure, but it'll never be the same :)

You wanna blow up my car when I'm not in it...Have at it. If you do it when I'm in it or have no money, then there's issues.

I picked up an Entity this weekend, and haven't had it blown up yet but it was Matte Black with a racing blue pearl so it didn't stick out much...not that it's ultra blue I bet it won't be long.

If you like driving a slower car then the rule of thumb you go by is the faster the car the other guy has he will more than likely shoot at you,so you want to hurt him first.

But , just as many people like driving around in the fastest/fav car for that area without shooting at other players.

I wonder how many of us so called passive players fire on other passive players through paranoia and blame all but yourself.

If it was bought then it will have full coverage, unless it was glitched.

Being passive in a vehicle is basically considered as aggressive / noob behaviour by non-passives.

This guy wasn't talking about actually being in passive mode while inside a vehicle, he was talking about being a "passive" player rather than an "aggressive" player, hence his use of the phrase "so-called." Weren't you going on just recently about how clever you were? I guess we see you're just another dumbass troll after all, misunderstanding such a basic statement like that. How is it though that you see someone being passive in a vehicle as aggressive? That's some nonsense logic right there.

I destroy all PVs I see with my main toon who has no banked $. My second toon has all the $. Why? Because it's freeroam. It's PVP. There's no holding hands and singing campfire songs together in general population freeroam. Why the eff would you park your PV knowing people will blow it up? If you're so butthurt about it then do solo freeroam.
