Thought about the character creator...

So I was thinking about deleting my second character in order to crate a new one when this random thought came to me. Why did RockStar go through the trouble of making a complex character creator that allows you to make 2 set of grandparents, a mother, and a father; especially when they could have went with a much simpler style similar to GTA IV or the Sims or pretty much any other game.

 

So what if in a future update RockStar puts in pictures of your characters parents and grandparents in place of the generic pictures that hang on the walls of our apartments. Similar to the picture of Amanda that hangs in Michael's bedroom in single payer.

 

Or they could add a mission similar to Fresh Meat or Meltdown from single player. After all our characters are mass killers, thieves, drug dealers, etc; so it could be possible that some druglord or criminal could hold family members hostage for ransom.

 

I don't just a random idea what do you guys think?

 

*TL;DR* Why do we have to make both grandparents and parents, in the character creator? Do you think they will be added in as npc's in a DLC or future update?

Idk why they did that, and I wonder who on earth at R* thought it was a good idea but tbh, that character creation system f*cking sucks. I wish it was more saints row style whereby we could customize anything we want. Saints row learned a few things from GTA, but maybe it's time for R* to do the same and learn a few things from volition/THQ(dead).

It's completely out of whack. I didn't even choose my parents and grandparents so I don't even know what they look like. I just go to the "hours spent" screen and change the stats until it makes a decent looking person. If you change them drastically enough, it even changes the race of your character. Drove me crazy.

I must say this is GTA and not saint's row but before GTA 5, I liked Saints row more. Now, saints row 4 is OKAY but GTA 5 is better but they should really bring in some stuff saints row had because man, would that really bring their content purchases up and everything. If they made something like that a DLC, I swear, so many people would buy it.
