How about we create a database for mission objectives?

Sometimes doing missions first time can be a bit of a pain. You don't know what to expect when you reach your destination and often end up driving into an ambush.

 

Also many times I have caught myself thinking I wish I knew where the mission started, so that I can be more helpful to others when starting the mission. Other helpful things could include vehicles that have to be delivered somewhere so you can call your Cargobob and do it that way, or missions where helicopters are sent to attack you so one player could get his Buzzard beforehand.

 

Now there are too many missions for one person to do, and im not even sure as to how we could go about storing it all in a topic. Im thinking one giant map with the markers for each mission on it, after all they take place in different locations most of the time.

 

Im thinking if everyone helps out and gives a rough detail of at least one mission, then this could be done in no time.

 

Im just pitching the idea, if anyone wants to provide a map we could use or something that would be great.

I would really love to have a database with this type of information. I hadn't had a lot of time to play lately so when I am on, I like to make the most out of it in terms of passing missions, and ranking up. A guide like this would give an idea of what to expect when I launch into a new mission so that I can have the best chance of passing it. This would really improve the gaming experience for me. If I get some free time, I'll definitely try to help out with this!

 

Also, you could link in youtube videos if you wanted of guys who have posted ways to beat missions etc. That might get a solid list started up that we can expand upon. Just an idea lol

Well, it's a possible idea for gtav.net as we are currently doing a major overhaul.

Ok cool, I think what we really need if we want this to work is an interactive map anyone can copy and then edit. So basically as you do a mission, you take note of the locations and add them to the map, and post it here. Then others can copy it and add their own markers. There would be a legend that shows which numbers map to which mission, and the colors would be things like start point, end point, enemy choppers etc.

Yeah thats true.

 

But you could at least use it for the starting location of a mission so you can drive your car there, and then start inviting people. Saves them time.
