I saw something earlier that was a bit wiggy and wondered if anyone else had experience this as I've not seen it posted before.

 

I was just in a regular free roam online game and it was night time - proper dark as anything night time. Suddenly there was a huge flash and the whole screen faded quickly to white. It stayed like that for about a second and then it faded out to normal, but it was daytime.

 

My initial thought when the flash occurred was that it looked like a nuke from other games, but there were no deaths. It looked to me as if the server time had been changed, and that was how it was coded to handle time changes.

 

I just wondered if anyone else had seen this before.

I've come across similar when loading into new sessions. If this happened during the FR, no clue. Contrary to what it seems, I don't believe ALL lobbies are in sync with stations or times of day. I could be wrong but that's how it seems to me.

Nah, but I've never seen this before, I was once in a lobby where the time moved really slow. It stayed daytime for 1h 30mins

Yeah, lobbies are blatantly not in sync with each other. You can go from one session to another and totally change time of day. I did wonder if they were doing something to sync them all and I'd just happened to see a change. It was bizarre for sure.

What we mean is the session or lobby as a whole for everyone in/entering/leaving that particular room.

 

I've read from people here stating that they are in sync, stations too but that just doesn't seem to be the case to me.

sometimes i feel its a game glitch, sometimes its some one doing it.

 

the last time this happened a kid was talking spanish on his mic and said something about trick, then he did a 10 countdown and boom from day to night and them switched back to day. he was laughing like a maniac. he did it a couple more times before i me losing the connection.

During launch 'month' I experienced several full day cycle time changes in split seconds; there may have been a white flash in there somewhere, since it happened a few times but I don't get them any more.

I saw a hacker who once made it go from 12:00 to 00:00, and also started a huge thunderstorm in the lobby that lasted for almost an hour...Also, the time seemed to keep reverting back to 00:00 every time it reached around 07:00...Water guns, rapid fire tanks, fire truck tanks, and now time/weather change mods...Whats next? Turning players into animals? Oh, and I know it was a hacker because every time someone said "1...2...3...BOOM!" the time and weather would change.

My experience with this was like this...

 

Both myself and my partner both play on 2 xbox's in the same room when we have a gaming session, both of us were in the same session but it was night on mine and day in hers and then all of a sudden my screen flashed straight to daylight as if my session synced to match hers.

 

Not the only time it has happened too, once it was tipping it down with rain and it was sunny on hers.

 

Just strange cloud server sync issues, most noticeable if one of us join the session straight from off story mode.

what do i gain from making up stuff?

 

i gain nothing, im not a 12yo kid that need to make up stuff so others think hes cool or something...

 

on this kind of stuff i always post things that happens to me, is up to you if you want to believe it or not.

When loading a new session, that's normal, I think.

Tho, before a certain patch, I think 1.09 or .08, all servers seemed to be on the same schedule. At least for me. Since this patch when you join random servers they all are at different time of the day.

I don't see why they would change that.

 

On topic I had this happening only once, when I was in a crew only session. Passing from day to night and night to day in a sec. And none of us is a hacker... so I don't know, snyc problem I guess.
