What is R* working on currently?

Ways to irritate the R* community by removing more stuff than adding more and seeing how long they can tease us with the damn heist missions which probally doesnt even exist.

As I just said in another thread I doubt if we will ever know what they are working on, sure there maybe teams of testers and devs looking at the glitch videos on you tube, learning how to do it, and trying to figure out what in the code is allowing them to do it and how to stop it without breaking the legitimate actions. As a programmer I can tell you for example it took me 2 weeks one time to find a variable that was being reset, the fix was 2 lines of code. When you have a massive code base like GTAO has tracking down bugs can be hard.

At the same time there may be other teams working on heists, SP DLC and other stuff that we haven't even had hints of yet.

Lots of the previous patches were put out quickly to try and get the game stable and allow people to play without loosing things, the removal of the ratloader was a mistake and they have said that they will make it available with free mods as compensation.

Would a company pay employees to do nothing? No. They will be working on dlc to create more revenue, as well as debugging to prevent exploits that hamper the potential revenue.

Why are they being 'secretive'? So they are not making any further promises they may struggle to keep, thus preventing people complaining that releases are late.

Too logical for the simple minded complainers to understand. But yet they're confident that whatever is being done is "easy to do" or "fix", because we're all programmers in here and clearly know how effortless it is to fix, patch or add anything additional into the game. Obviously R* is slacking off. *rolleyes*

I've only logged on to sell cars or mess with ones I like in the past week. Other than that this game is dead. Here's hoping they bring some content that brings me back. But I doubt it.

it's only been 4 months since GTAO was launched and you're already burnt out on this game? you need to enjoy the outside life more or gain some hobbies.. I play this game regularly and am nowhere near burnt out, then again I don't play for hours on end day after day..

Cool so you know me or something? You know what I do on a daily basis? LOL. I'm bored with the game because I played since launch, high level, no more new missions to play, just the same old. Free roam is boring. Only armored trucks, and a simeon text containing crappy cars most of the time. So yeah, this game needs content as I can only do the same things over and over until I get bored, its called human nature Nostradamus. It also isn't very hard to level up in this game if you play missions, which is what I mostly did, which are mostly boring put together last minute pieces of crap except a few really solid ones (Los Santos Connection, etc.).

Figuring out a way to add heists and more missions that don't give you so much cash that you will no longer be interested in cash cards most likely.

What would honestly get me playing again is a reason to keep playing past 120. New contacts, higher level missions, heists and some new free roam goodies. Throw in some new vehicles and they got me. Would even pay for DLC for this stuff as I love me some GTA. Fact is, you play to 120 and just like story the only thing left to do is either replay missions or kill everyone in free roam. Yes I play with people but honestly most I played with in the beginning are bored themselves so they never play this game. They are waiting for content. I think the cash purge was an attempt at R* to not only "fix" the game but to keep people playing and griding/farming their garbage jobs. They know the game has no content or things to buy besides a tank and buzzard and the same ole supers. They are either buying time or hoping the purge will increase profits. The only way im giving them a dime is with a worthy DLC.

Nobody is honest to goodness supposed to have a Tank, a Buzzard and a supercar in their possesion simultaneously, even at lvl 120. It just happens that most people do thanks to glitchers so now the desire to strive for more high end items is gone because you've already had it when logically you shouldn't have. By design, a player would reach level 100+ long before they were able to afford those items above AND a high end apartment with a 10 car garage...so how you feel is in no way your fault. If things hadn't gone down the way they did, you'd still have something to play for.

Oh no, the OP is "leaving", what is R* to do????

They have to bring back the OP & the dozens like him by catering to their unrealistic demands, they just have to....

I could see a patch dedicated to actually fixing many of the minor glitches like hair, masks, slot one insurance, mechanic delivering dupes, wall gaps, and super duping going a long way to making a happier community.

You're kidding right? Before the LSC glitch I had about 7 million on my character from doing missions and this was before level 120. Like I said the game had awesome payouts in beginning (simple missions like out of court settlement payed 9k). It was easy as dirt to level up and make money. If my math is correct 7 mil could easily afford a super, tank and a buzzard. Not to mention how much racing paid in the beginning at launch and I didn't even play that much. Just sold cars, simeon texts, trucks, jobs, rob stores, etc. Not to mention having two characters doubles your car sales. EASY.

Trantor the Troll

Making a boring documentary like Sunday Driver to include with the very special limited edition re-release of the game that may or may not include a jet pack and or most likely not heists.

Just start asking R* nicely to pull their cock* out of your wallet.

Shark Cards.

This ^ and absolutely NOTHING else.

Don't worry about heists and other fun content. Once they've bled this game dry, that will be the last we see of new content.

Those were still exploits. If you're talking pre-LSC Customs glitch, like replaying Violent Duct, Rofftop Rumble, etc., none of that was ever in R*'s design, or else it wouldn't have been taken away. They didn't nerf those because everyone was doing it, they nerfed it because nobody was supposed to do it. Sadly there's no way to put numbers to the fact, but it doesn't take a mathematician to realize that you would get a high rank before you got a high enough bank account to be able to have a Super, Tank, Buzzard, High End Apartment and ALL weapons at your disposal.

Replaying missions when the game was first released wasn't exploiting any kind of bug whatsoever, it was only after they removed the button and people were replaying missions through spectator glitches and spamming the quick replay button after it was removed that could be considered exploiting.

Also it's very easy to have all 3 of those things at this point, it was easy to even have it within the first month, without having to hit replay.

Thanks for effectively providing the details for the argument as to why they cut back all of the job payouts. Leveling and earning cash to those levels was intended to take months for the average player. Casuals would take longer, grinders would be shorter.

I never farmed rooftop rumble or violent duct, so stop making assumptions. I simply called for jobs, if I knew the pay was good I would take it, if not I would go hunt down a simeon car/make money in freeroam, do a survival or race with friends (not talking boosting here, although I boosted races on my 2nd character cause I didn't want to do them again, this was after the race nerf so I made almost no money doing this). I was very efficient at earning money in the beginning because that was/is the object of the game. I would also play higher level missions when everyone played them in the beginning via session invites. I apologize for working GTA online and dominating its gameplay to where I became rich very fast. I also dashboarded every time I got gifted or killed a large bounty so I never got my money taken away. I won't even mention how much cash I got on my character it will make some people sad. I did this all while participating in real life and finishing an engineering degree. Thanks for the input Nostradamus.

I never said you specifically were doing anything of the sort, so how can I make an assumption on a generalization? Never mind, don't even answer...I was a fool to think I could have a constructive debate with the likes of you. I'll go back to lunch now and you can go back to this...

An excuse to keep producing some of the best games ever-made in the face of stupid-f*ckwit-c*nts who are spoilt on a slurry of mindless drivel - have no conception of how f*cking hard it is to make a game like this (and yet wierdly not only still play the game but invest a hell of a lot of time writing innane complaints on forums).

For some reason R* have recieved the George Lucas treatment - massive schizophrenic fanbase.

I hope they ignore it and keep up the incredible work.

No one is whining here, they promised new content, I expect new content after making a game purchase. Any online game I played took me A LONG time to get bored. This one simply has no content, or very little that's worth your while as far as fun goes. It isn't that hard for them to add more missions. Hell when the cloud servers are down theres a bunch already available. Even releasing those and editing the code a bit would add some content and fun to the game. I enjoyed those, why? Because they were new to me. I've seen their mission creator, its not difficult to add missions via that platform, its completely GUI.

1). Hiests (18rd februiri, feri legit)

2). More Content Creators (Capture, Survival, Mission, Parachuting), and getting the current ones (TDM and Races) out of Beta.

3). More DLC (Single Player) and more GTA Online content (Customization like the Beach Bum DLC, more weapons and cars, more property). I also wouldn't be surprised if they are working on bringing Liberty City to GTA Online and North Yankton is probably laying around somewhere.

4). PC and Next-gen versions (PC because it is its own platform, PS4/XB1 to keep GTA Online alive on consoles). Will probably release/be announced at the same time to decrease the amount of marketing needed.

5). Fixing the remaining bugs, banning remaining hackers.

They're all still busy trying to perfect the jet pack! I heard they recently hired a "Duke Nukem" programer to help them bring it online

Of all the things to come in the future, these are what I'm looking forward to the most. Everything else however are things that R* have indeed said are going to happen (with exception to PC and Next...er...current Gen), so it's just a matter of waiting. But of course while wait we will be subject to people's incessant whining, bitching and moaning. God I wish I reach through my monitor and punch people in the face...would make coming here that much more fun.
