I'm one of these "trolls" that kill unsuspecting players in free roam. At times I've tried to act nice but I get a bullet to the face in return. If you don't like it, make an Invite Only session or even try sending a text asking them to stop. I know when I receive a text asking me to stop killing them, I will. Well... Most of the time.

Tell that to the other 4 people I just met randomly. We enjoy impromtu races, robbed some stores together, then proceeded to show each other our fav base jumping spots.

 

I guess we're playing it wrong though and we should play a different game? Some people are retarded I swear...

Sorry mate, but me not being able to tell you their reason doesn't mean they didn't have one. I'm sure there have been times where you've killed some random and they've thought, "WTF was that for??" It's just a game. People do stuff.

I believe you missed the point. The video is about a guy (mostly in passive mode) being killed over and over again for no reason other than being there.

 

Over 50% of players online will troll you or just plain shoot you in face without being provoked

 

That isn't public Free-roam's SOLE purpose, Yet players continuously try again and again to stop others from playing their way, (passively) and force them into combat situations for their own entertainment.

 

It is a problem that needs to be addressed because there are plenty of players who do enjoy free-roaming passively but cannot due to others.

 

Edit: Lol at the solutions previously stated. If the guy isn't enjoying being shot over and over again what makes you think he will enjoy doing that to somebody else? Smh...

Freemode does build some grudge matches without end. I know a few crew tags that I will kill on sight after being outnumbered by them in the past. The generic LSPD is one of them. Dudes thinking they're sick just because they have you outnumbered piss me off.

Don't worry, I'm completely harmless to non-aggressive players. Maybe aggressively sending impromptu race invites, but that's it.

So me and my friend decided to go to the beach on gta online. Then once we got to the docks, then this dude just keeps killing us for no reason. Why would you kill someone who didn't even provoke you? This is what GTA online has become. Kill, Kill, Kill... Where is the fun? Why can't we all just take sandkings, load up atv's and haul them up the mountain? And for you guys saying "GTA is about killing, go play sims", If GTA is about killing, then why do we have golf, tennis, planes, tunable cars, apartments, races, submarines, radio, stunt jumps?

Do you know how easy it is to

A) not get killed

and

B) get hostile players to calm down and quit trying to kill you?

 

I am a habitual Passive Mode spammer. I use it when I join a lobby, I use it when approaching another player, I use it after getting a revenge kill on someone who ran me over, and I use it immediately after killing a random for no reason. The easiest way to get anyone to lower their guard and somewhat trust you, is to approach them in Passive Mode, and just follow them wherever they go, and do whatever they do. Eventually, if you can tell they want you to get in a car, do it, but be prepared to hop out if their intent was to get out immediately and shoot you while you're in the car. My personal favorite thing to do is approach a stranger going full speed in a car while in Passive Mode, and right as I get within gun-range, I jump out and roll to their feet. I can already tell if they're hostile or not by whether or not bullets hit my windshield before I hopped out. But with Passive Mode on, I was perfectly safe from harm the second I bailed out of my car.

 

tl;dr - Use Passive Mode with tact. You'll rarely ever get killed again.

If you're coming at me full speed in a car, I'm assuming YOU'RE the hostile one, and passive or not, you're gonna get put down.

GTAO Free Roam has basically gone the way of other games like Madden My team or MLB Diamond Dynasty.

99 overalls in everything, with every one, etc. etc.

99 OVR vs. 99 OVR, may the best glitcher/cheese player win.

Same old sh*t. Unfortunately it's too much to ask of the anonymous gamer community to grasp and put to practice the principles of fair, well-rounded, and interesting gameplay.

For variety....I'm going to kill you once we spawn outside the tennis court, win, lose, or draw...so you might as well get used to it.

 

There are no repercussions to dying, so the better question is "why do you care?"

Does it not occur to you that PvP is CONTENT?

Does it not occur to you that you and your picnic pallies can have an invite only session where you can sing kumbayah over your mics and hold hands on the beach?

 

I totally get it if you are not interested in PvP...but I do not get why you are entering open public rooms and expecting the entire world to play the game how you want.

 

Passive mode + Private room = problem solved

Because you're basically working for him as an outside, private contractor.

In one of Gerald's "dialouges" he even tells you to "keep your mouth shut about this, ya hear?" implying that he's acting alone and not on the gang's behalf.

Personally if you ask me I cannot stand the drug missions if only for how tacky Gerald's "business model" is.

Stealing drugs as your principle source. C'mon really Gerald? Really? Can't you find a decent connect with the cartel or something?
